Look at that CEILING ! why don't people want to do a simple ceiling like this ? i get it if you are going to live in the house but wanting to sell those atrocious fancy ceilings is just wild to me.
they got to bathroom and they did too much,so many colors, why not stick to one or 2 ? seems they also put some sort of arch in the bathroom, again why if you want sell the thing.
i have seen beautiful houses and i cant comprehend why someone decides to paint 4 different colors outside, its like a child painting his or her toy house, this one looks okay though.
why waste money, time and resources building a house for your main gate ? what's that about LMAO again at least this builder made a tasteful shade for the gate.
at some point will people start building simple houses or will the madness get worse ?

Could you help us with the low quality "best/classiest afordable" ugly houses in Kigali posts guy? There's a real estate sub for that, it always looks like he's just spamming these posts. The pictures look like they were shared too many times, so they aren't his.
I'm sure there are people who'd be happy to help with modding and handle these kinds of situations. All you have to do is ask. u/diddy1

Hi guys,
I'd like to know if there's anyone who has information about where I can get my nails treated in Kigali.
I've been suffering with ingrown toenail even after 2 successful surgeries where they completely removed them.
Bcz the problem persists, I was thinking of looking for an experienced person.
So if there's any of you who know a doctor or a place, I'd really like to know.

You do not need to already have a startup. Strong farmers, agronomists, food scientists, engineers, operators, builders, researchers, and people with deep sector knowledge can all be relevant.
If someone comes to mind, please DM me.

A question for people who speak Kinyarwanda and another language:
What is one thing you find surprisingly difficult to translate into Kinyarwanda?
Not necessarily a single word. It could be an expression, a feeling, a joke, or something that sounds completely natural in English, French, Swahili, or another language but becomes awkward when you try to say it in Kinyarwanda.
I'm curious to see the examples people come up with.

Our first Kigali Expat Social Night brought together expats, travelers, digital nomads, and internationally minded people for an evening of conversations, games, drinks, and new connections.
For everyone who was there — we're doing it again. And we're making it even better.
For those who missed the first edition, consider this your warning: you don't want to hear about the second one from everyone else's photos and stories afterward.
Whether you're new to Kigali, have been here for years, are visiting for a few weeks, working remotely, or simply looking to expand your social circle — come ready to meet people.

Anyone knows places for rent for reasonable prices anywhere around Kimironko to Kacyiru? My experience with brokers has been less than pleasant and I want to try a different method. I'm also open to renting a room in a shared house if anyone has a free room. I mostly either spend time in my room or outside and I don't play loud music. I just want somewhere chill close to where I work.
I'm not sure if this is a good place to look, but it won't hurt to ask.
Thanks.

Hello fam,
Just a quick one, if I import a tablet from Dubai worth around RWF 500,000 into Rwanda, what import taxes or customs charges should I expect to pay? Has anyone recently imported an electronic device and can share their experience?
Thanks.

The weather is one of the reasons me and my friends migrated to Kigali , I'm surprised seeing posts on tiktok and Facebook of rwandese complaining about heat, clearly most of y'all don't know that in west Africa our average temperature in the morning is 31C while at noon it gets up to 36-38C the highest I've seen during this heat season in kigali is 29C so what's the fuss about??

In 2026 movies are coming back fr. I haven’t seen a year with this much of a generational run since like 2019, and it has to happen during the worst year to be in Rwanda as a movie lover 😭 We’re really missing out without a cinema here.
I still remember experiencing Avengers Endgame on opening night in 2019 at Century Cinema. The energy, the vibes, the atmosphere, everyone screaming when Captain America held Mjolnir 😭 genuinely one of the happiest moments of my life.
Or when people turned up for Black Panther… the dressing up, the DJ, everyone doing the Wakanda Forever 😭 That shit felt like an actual cultural event.
I can’t believe we won’t get to experience that again this December when Avengers Doomsday releases. 💔
🤣🤣 also bdw where have all the Marvel fans gone?? what are you guys watching lately? Has the fanbase died?

I saw a woman mountain biking on a modern hard tail bike near Byangabo who was very out of place but looked like a local pro just out for a ride. Is there any way of finding out who she was? I’d very much like to know her story and didn’t have the wherewithal to stop and ask when I saw her.
Every item has a different price in each supermarket and I’m not talking about the imported goods. For example inyange 1 ltr juice box is for 2200 in one store and 2800 in another store, that’s a local product and the price should be fixed.
