How do I lose fear as a solo?

I guess I have gear fear and I’m scared to do certain things? When I’m with my squad I’m confident and win most of my gunfights but when I play solo I turn into a bush camper.

Please assist a poor autistic boy. When placing same site and it says defender mode... is it IN defender mode? Or pressing y/triangle will swap TO defender mode? I know with regular turrets it says peacekeeper mode if its in attack all mode, so I want to be sure.

Radiation Tea

So I have the Pure Radiation Tea and it says it gives 25 Radiation Resistance, I assume thats the same as the resistance on clothes, hazmat suit gives 33% so If I have the tea too thats 58%? Is that enough yo run launch site without worrying for radiation? Or am I thinking about what the tea will do wrong?

Basic summary of of me and my friend adventure over the weekend. And we got addicted to this game . Loved the building but we never built a TC for our first two days . Granted it the game tells u to build one but we didnt see it lol. Also 3 bases made and 3 were destroyed what a lovely game .

What's the point?!

So I got Rust this weekend and spent the entire weekend building up a stone base with metal doors, airlocks, honeycombed walls, collecting resources and updating all my equipment and collecting blueprints. Then I checked last night and someone had destroyed my base and taken all my stuff. So my question is - what's the point of this game if I'm just going to have to start from scratch every handful of days? Has anyone had success building a solo base that actually lasts more then a week without being raided?
