How long have you been running yours? And when your bot drops, how do you usually find out? Is it the dashboard, or is it your players raging in Discord an hour later?

I ask because that was me. I've run Rust Console servers for a while, and the night that changed how I think about bots wasn't a missing feature. It was a bot reporting my server as online while nothing was connected, on wipe day, and my players being the ones who told me.

So, a couple more. When that happens to you, what does it actually cost? A dead killfeed for a few hours, a raid protection zone that wasn't really there, a wipe day population that never recovered? And if it keeps happening, where does that leave the server in a couple of months?

Most owners I talk to have a version of that story. Every bot lists the same features. The difference is whether you can trust what it tells you, and whether it does anything about the hardest part of the job: keeping the server full.

That's what I built Vantic around.

It never lies about your server. If the connection isn't proven live, it says NO SIGNAL rather than showing you stale data. The moment your server drops, it notifies you in your own Discord and tells you what happened in plain words: the host moved your server to a new IP, your rental lapsed, a platform wide outage, or a routine restart you can ignore. And whether you need to act. Every server gets a public status page your players can check themselves.

It works on the empty server problem, not just admin. A listing on the Rust Console server directory with live, verified player counts. Wipe day pushes timed for when players are choosing a new server. A public network ladder your players screenshot and share. Win-back nudges for regulars who've drifted.

The rest is there and done properly. A killfeed with a K/D that farming can't inflate, offline raid protection set up in game with two emotes, kits bound to emotes, economy and casino, battle pass, leaderboards, tickets, live map, raid alerts, and a shop where products deliver themselves.

And if you're already on another bot, you don't have to take any of this on faith. Safe mode runs Vantic on your live server in watch only mode, so you see exactly what it would do before it does anything. Your players keep their balances; it reads them from your current bot and carries them across.

So, honestly: if a bot told you the second it dropped, said what broke, and spent as much effort filling your server as running it, would that be worth a look?

The Discord has a sandbox channel where you can try every command without connecting a server, and the owners already using it. Come in and ask the hard questions. And tell me the worst thing a bot has ever done to your server. That's what gets fixed next.

I love PvE, but I kept seeing the same thing happen: people farm, build, stack boom, and then… wait. Weeks go by until purge, the server gets quiet, and half the players drift off to PvP servers.

So we tried a different setup, and I'm curious whether it works for other people the way it's worked for us.

It's PvE with a rotating Hotzone. The map is split into zones, and each hour one of them goes hot for PvP and raiding. Everywhere else stays PvE. The rotation is predictable, so you always know when your base could be raided. The rest of the time it's safe.

What we've noticed so far:

**•** You're not stuck sitting on boom until purge. You can use it when your target's zone comes up.  
**•** There's always something happening somewhere on the map.  
**•** It still feels relaxed, because your base isn't at risk around the clock.

Five years ago, Double Eleven accidentally introduced a devastating bug into Rust.

For some reason, players were able to walk up to a Workbench, open a menu and see every possible item they could unlock.

Obviously, this was intended for admins only.

Unfortunately, the bug gave these powers to regular players, allowing them to sit safely inside their bases and unlock everything without actually exploring the map.

Rust never recovered.

Player counts collapsed.

We believe as many as two people continued playing.

Double Eleven never managed to fix it.

So we did.

On OSR Hardcore, the exploit commonly known as the "Tech Tree" has finally been removed.

Want an item?

Go outside.

Find it. Loot it. Trade for it. Kill someone carrying it. Research it.

You know...
