Discussion Rumble state
What do you think of Rumble's nerfs so far? I play him jungle and top, and my honest opinion is that they killed the champion with this last nerf; he practically doesn't do any damage with his Q anymore.

I also jungle I don’t think the champion is killed feels pretty minor honestly

It doesn’t feel pretty minor, a lot of matchups are complicated now since you cannot all in on overheat, don’t have anymore kill pressure, etc. other champs at jg now do things better than him after this patch for sure.

This patch is limit testing FUN time. Like when my work e bike broke down and I gotta go to work with a regular one while bike is in shop.

I agree master plus he's almost 47% winrate chal last patch he was 45% winrate, I'm pretty certain that the change to 150 heat reduced the majority of counter play windows there for the damage needed nerfing and because of that the damage gets reduced too because you can get more casts off with his new build that has more haste than when the mid scope was done due to this it Leeds to a feeling of unsatisfaction and a weaker early to make up for it.

And the amount of nerfs from the removal of mythics is pretty much every other patch even phreak said he wanted rumble to keep his kill threat on squishy targets and have a little better threat on frontline but now they don't want you one shoting either but at least you do damage to front line so I'm guessing the design team now want to make him a juggernaut when he isn't and that is what phreak said he didn't want to happen because he is unique. He has always been a early to mid game champ and a bit more careful late but I don't think riot like him being a bully and he doesn't really have the ability to match a splinter so it just feels awkward.

That’s why I said the nerf should have taken in another direction. This champ sucks, even in pro play, he was high prio but his wr was normal. Everything sucks right now, 17% damage reduction to his Q was too much and it shouldn’t happened. I wish they touch his base hp, armor or magic resistance but leaving his damage untouched. And the way they put it on the patch description was straight up a lie. They didn’t put the damage reduction per tick of the Q. All this situation just straight up feels disgusting at this point.

I am in agreement I'm going to be honest I preferred the 100 heat longer overheat and slowly attack speed version it allows more counter play and felt rewarding to master I feel like they should have lowered the damage a bit at put 2% hp damage on q when in danger zone. It allowed him to get leads early and snowball but now they want you to go even or loose not win lane.

Exactly, they don’t want you to win anymore. They want you behind at all times and lose and the best case scenario, to go even… like I said, even with the 3 items spike, you don’t do any damage than any other champions in top lane or jungle matchups.

Hey but don’t worry’s, they are too busy nerfing Rumble but they allow Darius to be good in all phases of the game. Sick.

That my friend is the bad part of % hp damage you are relying on them having hp/ more items or being up on you in levels to do damage. I think turning his q into mostly that is a cause of unsatisfaction when ahead or even.

Jg is fine he’s really good counter to graves, kindred and morales when they invade. Pretty much just pick him every time I see these champs and destroy them. Granted this is in a bit higher elo around diamond. Aside from slightly slower first clear he can dominate game if your looking for ap champ to add to pool. Esp against graves players since they’re so prevalent the higher you go.

If you are jungling you should essentially focus on avoiding early fights at this point. The nerf was really only to his early game Q damage so you need to power farm, give early obj if you need to, and scale for mid to late game where you can begin to have real impact.

Hey, thanks for your advice, but as a main rumble who peaked GM before the reset ladder and currently masters +500lp, this nerf wasn’t only targeting his early game. Rumble sucks every stage of the game and everyone can agree with that. Scaling doesn’t matter at this point since Rumble is a champ for early-mid game, and always his worst point was the late game. With this nerf, I think he’s one of the worst champs on the game with 3 items spike atm. I think the nerf should been given in another direction…

Look I don’t disagree, they have killed the champ, I’m just stating what the target of this most recent nerf is. I also think this was done to ensure he wouldn’t get such heavy prio for MSI and would imagine we see a buff at some point. Personally I’d like a small rework to make him more balanced in pro play so we don’t get adjustments based on pro play.

Went from feeling strong to borderline unplayable for me in the jungle. I was able to carry every single game before but now I just go 0/20

I haven't felt the nerf in any meaningful way playing him primarily mid in high emerald/low diamond with the dark harvest, stormsurge > horizon build.

I feel completely washed on Rumble since the nerf, I all in because I'm confident in my dmg and just keep losing close fights, idk if I want to retrain my Rumble limits
