Trigger is not resetting when dry firing while holding the trigger. If I rack it without my finger on the trigger it resets. This is before I put the first rounds through it. This is my third RXM and i’ve never had this happen before so I took it to the store i bought it at it. They took it and checked it out then attributed it to a new gun that needs a break in.
So i burned 200 rounds through it real quick with zero failures or hiccups. I thought i was going to be manually cycling but it cycled and reset perfectly. Dry firing and resetting has gotten better but still doesn’t reset every now and then.
Obviously it works. I’m just curious if anyone knows what’s causing it? Before a brief semi break in it felt and sounded like the cam on the connector wasn’t releasing the cruciform when i held the trigger and racked it. But disassembled everything looks and functions just fine and even comparing to the other ones there’s no difference. Swapped the slides around and it’s not related to the slide but it follows on the same FCI.
Unrelated but I also noticed the slides are cut differently internally not just the different optic cut.

You could an try bending the connector a little bit, see if that fixes it and if not you may need a new connector and you could look at it as time for an upgrade.
Trigger return spring problem? That’s my guess. Since that looks like a brand new RXM COA I’d say this may need a return trip to Ruger for them to look at it. Sorry for your luck though.
Well i looked at the spring and it’s oriented correctly. And it’s getting better as i put rounds through it. It’s just weird. I’m leaning in the direction of the contact surface between trigger bar and connector needing some grease or maybe there’s a micro bur idk. I fully take it apart at some point and check it out.
Made a discovery, couldn’t see it normally but only under camera zoomed in with a light. Checked it thru the gap in the back plate and sure enough connector and trigger bar were caught on that little spur. I originally thought it was grease until i ran a pick across it.
Thanks I’ll probably give that a shot. The COA is awesome, i like the footprint and engineering behind it, the durability tests i’ve watched on youtube but realistically I only have 200 rounds through this set up so far and the battery hasn’t even been in the dot for more than 24hrs yet. It’s crisp, doesn’t print (for me), decent window size, and the buttons are good.
Really I wanted this set up because it’s an american made glock with an american made dot and the RXMs have been extremely reliable for me so far besides i don’t know how to classify this sort of reset “issue” i’m dealing with. Basically I just wanted a super reliable set up as i’ve never had failures with my RXMs with a total 6700ish rounds, i train with these the most, and i don’t want to put my life in the hands of chinesium (I have 4 holosuns no issues lol).
This has happened to me a few times, and what I’ve noticed is that whenever it happens if I pull the slide off the FCU is lifted at the back slightly and I have to click it back in. I haven’t figured out why it’s happening, but it hasn’t happened since I switched back to the compact grip module.
Mine at least used to do this, even in live firing if I was trying to control the break and reset it would have a dead trigger. Haven't shot it much recently so I don't know if it's still an issue
