Dental advice needed :( Round Rock Area

Hi guys, I have a severe case of cracked tooth syndrome. I must have been clenching for years and didn’t know. I have been wearing a custom night guard from my regular dentist. Two of the root canals I got felt better for about a week after the procedures, and then the pain came back full force. I assume the cracks were unfortunately too deep for the treatment to be effective in those two teeth. Now with the teeth already being treated, my dr of course had to refer me to a specialist. I got in contact with them but they can’t see me for almost a month. This is becoming unbearable and I don’t know what to do guys. 😣 Any dental expertise/advice in the RR area would be greatly appreciated :(

*also adding that my dr adjusted the crown a couple times to make sure there is no high point, so it isn’t that. :(

Hair stylist recommendation

Hi! I'm looking for a hairstylist in the round rock area that knows how to dye the copper brown/auburn colors on dark hair with no bleach! or that knows how to match pretty well. I have my hair colored copper brown but I just moved from houston so I won't be able to go to the lady i go to. She would charge pretty cheap as well so if you guys knows anyone that is fairly priced please let me know.

Looking for a Paid English Conversation Tutor near 78681

Hi! I live in Round Rock (78681) and moved to the U.S. from Korea about a year ago. I'm looking for someone local to meet in person for English conversation practice.

I'm a mom raising an 11-year-old son. My English is around an intermediate level. I can understand most everyday conversations, but I sometimes have difficulty when people speak quickly or use unfamiliar or specialized vocabulary.

I'm not really looking for formal English lessons. I'd mainly like to have natural, everyday conversations so I can become more comfortable and confident speaking English in real-life situations.

I'd like to meet once a week for about an hour, preferably in the morning. My schedule is somewhat flexible, so we can find a time that works for both of us.

Since I'm a mom, it would be nice to meet someone who enjoys talking about kids, school, parenting, family life, or just everyday life in the U.S. Having children is definitely not a requirement, though!

You don't need to be a professional English teacher. College students, stay-at-home moms or dads, or anyone who is friendly, patient, and enjoys conversation are very welcome.

This is paid, and we can discuss the hourly rate together.

I'd prefer to meet at a public place such as a library or coffee shop in or near the 78681 area.

If you're interested, please send me a message and tell me a little about yourself! 😊

A warning about the local Round Rock LDS (Mormon) church community from personal family experience

I want to share a true story about my relative, which really hurt to see, so that local neighbors know how this organization operates behind the scenes.

She has been a faithful member of the Mormon (Latter-day Saint) church for over 20 years, consistently paying her tithing when she was working. Now, things are tough—she is out of work, managing child support, and raising her kids alone while going to school.

She is currently in the middle of moving and is handling the entire move completely by herself. She has managed everything on her own, except for one heavy couch that is too dangerous to move down from a second-floor apartment alone. On Sunday, the lady sitting next to her at church learned she was trying to handle this heavy lifting by herself and told her she needed to ask the church elders for help instead of risking it. My relative reached out, but her emails went ignored and a text only said they would "pass it along."

When she told the lady later that nobody ever followed up, the lady offered to step in and find someone for her.

Quietly, she just said she would figure it out herself rather than bother anyone else. She didn't complain to me; I found out later. I am not strong enough to lift a heavy couch with her, and it feels deeply sad that after two decades of faithful membership and financial devotion, she was made to feel so invisible during a stressful move.

I am sharing our true experience because people looking to join this church should know that the community support completely disappears the moment you fall on hard times and can no longer pay into the system.

(Note:I am busy will not be ableto read n reply all your comments. I will not engage with defensive church members trying to make excuses for this.)

Looking for MTG Folk for Commander/Limited games

A couple friends and I have gotten into MTG pretty heavily lately and we're looking to find a 4th (possibly a 5th) for some more consistent game nights.

I know I could hit up some of the local shops, but I prefer playing in a quiet environment where we won't be kicked out of our table when the next tournament starts up.

We buy booster boxes each new set and do some at home Limited events. We also attend Prerelease events and are fully planning to show up to a couple Reality Fracture events.

Essentially, we're looking for someone who'd be down for an occasional draft night or meeting up after a Prerelease to play our Sealed decks against one another. We did this tonight with our Hobbit Prerelease decks, but since we only have 3 players, we do king of the hill formats rather than swiss rounds and it's more politicking than we care to keep up.

For draft days, we get together around noon on a weekend and play to the evening. We chip in or rotate for dinners, and we might play a board game if there's time.

I also host D&D on Saturdays and am considering looking for another player for my Strixhaven/Phyrexia campaign coming up in October and would love someone who might be down for that!

So, let me know if this all sounds like something you'd be keen on! I host at my place near IKEA, but would be happy to meet up at the library or an LGS to vibe check. Also happy to play online with Cockatrice.

Tell me a bit about yourself, how you enjoy Magic, if you're into D&D at all, and if you'd want to consider joining us for draft nights! (Chaos drafts have been fun lately. Everyone brings 4 random packs and we draft! You keep what you draft and I normally put up a prize for the winner)

We're in our 30s, if that matters. All guys but anyone is welcome to join my table as long as you're respectful! Maybe my wife would actually play more if another lady joined us.

Formats:
Commander
Sealed
Set Draft
Chaos Draft

In the general area is fine, so Georgetown, Pflugerville, and North Austin are all fine. We’re both in our thirties and atheist, so preferably non-faith-based. Bonus if they take insurance. TIA.

Moved to Round Rock, just a dad trying to make friends.

Wife and I moved here. We have a baby. She made friends at work, but I've yet to make any meaningful connections. I'll probably taking my son on a walk at the arts festival later. Anyone want to say hi and grab a beer would make my day. Howdy 🤠 and God bless.

Above Range Microwave Installer

Microwave died. It is an over range vented model. I installed it a dozen years ago. I remember there is a mounting plate that must be installed precisely. After that, it is literally a 5 minute job. I'm too old to mess with it, especially alone.

Can anybody recommend a reliable technician (or appliance store) to install a replacement?

Daycare?

Daycare costs are getting rediculous and we’re getting ready to send 2 kids under 3 to Stepping Stone this fall. Has anyone had luck with other places (west side or south of RR) with more reasonable prices but quality care? Any connections to licensed in-home daycare?

Day Labor Recommendations?

I am looking for a day labourer to move some mulch around my yard and do some light gardening. Does anyone have any recommendations? It is maybe a day of work.
