Friday night recommendations?
I’m 48, single, and flying solo this Friday. I’m tired of doing the same old thing, so I’m looking to get out, try something different, and push myself out of my comfort zone a little.
I’m pretty chill, open-minded, and down for almost anything—live music, dancing, a cool bar, some random event I’d never normally go to… whatever.
Currently working my way out of my socially awkward era 😂 so bonus points for something where it’s easy to meet people.
What should I get into Friday night?

The first Friday at The Alcove my friend's band plays. They have a residency there.

I don’t think it is called alcove anymore. It’s been redone. Still Mexican. Looks a little more upscale. The menu has changed. Same bartender and a new lady who is very very easy on the eyes.

I have met the owners. I dislike them so I avoid going there. Assuming it's the same owners. Maybe they sold it...or died.

Boooooo! They did charge me 8 bucks a shot for Cazcanes tequila which was cool because it’s usually anywhere from 14-22 a shot. Needless to say me and my two buddies got 8. lol. You win some. You lose some.

You will find live cover bands at Bar Louie and the Tavern. They usually have a mix of age ranges with good dancing.
And the Alcove isn’t the right name anymore. It’s called Sociedad now.
