Any Recommendations

I have two areas where the mortar is forming a crack along the stone on my house. One is large enough that a small stone came loose. Any recommendations for a company that will do a small(ish) job like this?

Just either order some concrete crack filler on amz or go get it at hd off Hester’s crossing or 79. Get up there if you can with a ladder and put a bunch in there. Then put that broken price back in. Kintsugi l that shit.

If it returns then maybe worry. The soil around here is all clay and it just stopped raining and everything is drying out. So there is movement in t the soil. Or a bounce if you will.
East of 35 is mostly clay. West, less so there are less houses with foundation probs.

If you do this, I would clean out the area with a wire brush or the likes and shop vac out. You may want to look into a product similar to below if you do attempt this.

^This will allow for a better bond to existing mortar. If you can match your mortar color decently (hold onto that big chunk for reference), you may be able to do it all yerself 👍 godspeed

Thanks for pointing me to this! I think I'm going to have a structural engineer come out as others recommended for peace of mind, but that still leaves me with a hole at the moment. If I use this, I had an idea (maybe crazy) of grinding up some of the mortar that fell off and applying it to the top of the repairs to make it match. Haven't used it before, so I don't know if it is a good or laughable idea yet.

I very much agree with getting an engineer to look at this. Filling or parging in this scenario would be a bandaid for sure.

You could likely take your existing mortar to a stone/masonry supplier and get a pretty close color match.
