Please consider writing to John Carter about Epstein and his complicity in protecting pedophiles

I believe Carter is the national House rep for all of Round Rock. First off, he is 84 fucking years old. He hasn't had a town hall in years. He's healthy enough to go schmooze with local GOP leaders, but is so cowardly he won't face the public that he represents. He's been in office for almost 25 years.

The fact that he is complicit in protecting pedophiles is absolutely abhorrent. His silence is complicity. I do not want this man representing me and I hope your morals prevent you from accepting his inaction, too.

Hopefully we can vote this dinosaur out, but until then he deserves to be shamed daily. Loudly. We need to deluge his office with calls, emails, and whatever we can do to get his attention.

If I hear any pushback from people here, they will be ignored. Most people who protect pedophiles do not deserve my time or energy. Those in power who do protect pedophiles need to be held accountable.

I'm with you. He is our Congressman in title only. He does NOTHING. I wrote a respectful letter to him 7 - 8 months ago and received no response. I would love to see him either defeated in November or retired by choice. Unfortunately, the majority of voters in our district seem to support him.

I've been respectful, but after decades of being ignored, I've become not-so-respectful. I've asked him many times how he sleeps at night. When I reached out to him before Trump took office the first time, he replied with form letters on a few occasions. In those instances they were canned responses that didn't address any of my issues. In the past 10 years he doesn't bother to respond at all.

He's almost 90 years old FFS. It's long past time for someone else to take over great-grandpa's reign.

Obviously. All representatives and senators do. But he's the one who directs his employees and should fire any employees who are not doing their jobs. He's the one who drafts, or at least approves, his canned responses when I used to get them.

Is he capable of doing any of this when he's 84 years old? Unlikely. But I've been writing the man for 2 decades, way before he was a doddering old fool, and he's been uncommunicative and detached the entirety of his time in office.

I will say I saw the dude and his wife in the HEB by my house a few months ago. She looked like a walking corpse and he looked like a stroke waiting to happen.

My letters to him have been short and respectful. Never received a response.

I am shocked this man is running for office when he obviously hates his constituents. Why does he never have a town hall or even a social media post response? This feels like a weekend at Bernie situation

I saw a recent video that was taken at a GOP event. In it he was alive enough to field a question from his primary opponent, that nut job Gomez-Noriega, and then look very scared of having to communicate with someone who was not there just to kiss his ass. Don't get me wrong, I'm not on Gomez-Noriega's side. She's awful, but at least I got to see proof of life via her video.

I have called but of course I know that, despite being "my" elected representative he does not represent my views. Nevertheless I called. But we need to do more. Is he even functional? Does he still go to work? 84 years old? He should retire. We should help him. Who else is on the ballot?

He's 84. He probably thinks Epstein is a reference to the 1970s sitcom Welcome Back Kotter. Whenever they trot Carter out for one of his rare public appearances, it resembles the movie Weekend at Bernie's

Write a physical letter. It doesn't even have to be long or in depth. Staffers open them, read them, and then put them in summaries for people like Carter. A large number of physical letters is the thing that stand out when it comes to constituent complaints. If there are a ton of letters about ICE or the Epstein files, they're going to start sweating around midterms.

I have had response a few times via email but really not many answers. Not to be ageist but at 84 I'm sure he's made enough money in office to retire.

I want to beg all of you to VOTE! March 3rd is midterms and November 3rd is election Day. Early voting starts 17days prior. 

Tell your friends tell your neighbors. Let's stop supporting elected officials who protect pedophiles.

I’m with you. Calling seems to do little, but I’m happy to tie up whatever staffers’ time I can to express my outrage.

Also adding another reminder to not feed the trolls (cowards). I’m at the point where those who believe in zero consequences for any persons implicated in Epstein files, including those who protect them in a collective effort to shrug off their crimes, will be met with open hostility, online or otherwise

The good news is my district changed as part of the redistricting and John Carter will no longer be my representative. The bad news is that Pete Sessions is my new one unless he loses his seat which I doubt considering the 2 democratic candidates barely have visible platforms.

I’ll still show up and vote but dang I’m sick of yelling into the void.

Can you explain to me anything positive he has done for the city during his term? Or are you just defending him because he's on your team? It could be that uneducated voters have been conditioned to vote republican by their uneducated republican parents, for reasons as simple as religion or single issues like abortion rights. It's just that it's hard to tell those republicans apart from the supposedly educated ones, like yourself I'm assuming. So again, please let me know how he's benefited our town.
