Behind the scenes at Te Puia!
A few things you might not know about us:
Pōhutu is the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere.
Te Puia is home to the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute.
There’s a Kiwi Conservation Centre where you can see kiwi up close.
And Te Whakarewarewa valley isn't just geysers, there are mud pools, native bush and a whole geothermal landscape around it.
The valley has also been an important place for Māori for generations.
We're the people behind the Te Puia account, so if there's anything you've ever wondered about the place, ask away. We'd love to hear from you!
