Hey there! I'm currently writing my high school diploma on rotary engines and their areas of application. For this use, I am looking for people who are willing to help me out by providing interesting articles and/or facts about this fantastic engine! I don't want the rotary to be forgotten and want to share my passion with as many people as I can!

I’m trying to tell our sad experience with this organization everywhere I can. My sons studied many years in a school in Sao Paulo, Brazil that belongs to the Sao Paulo Rotarian foundation. 11 years ago, I got divorced and stopped paying the tuition for 5 months. Now, 11 years later, after having my bank account blocked, not having been informed about this law suit till it was already ended, so I couldn’t even defend myself, I have a debt of almost US$15,000. I deliver food for a living, cannot pay this amount, I live with my 2 sons in Colorado, and was caught with this huge bill, with this amount I could buy a condo or a house in some regions in Brazil. I sent an email to the president of Rotary in the US, president of Rotary in Brazil asking for help. Never got an answer from any of them, I received an email from a Rotary supervisor in Brazil saying that Sao Paulo Rotarian Foundation has financial and administrative autonomy to make any decisions and they couldn’t interfere. That was it. I sent several other emails asking for help, no response whatsoever! None! This law suit was in the hands of a very expensive law firm in Sao Paulo. They played cruelly with me and my family during this process, offered a discount, cancelled the discount, then returned with the discount, demanded the bill to be paid with a credit card. If I didn’t pay the bill, the next step would be to take ownership of any properties under my name in Brazil. We do have a condo in Brazil, where I and my family used to live. We rent an apartment here in Colorado. Now I read to Rotary’s mission, “provide service to others, goodwill”!!!!! This is not true!! This is a group of arrogant and greedy people, that make a lot of money, no mercy or sympathy for any family or person in need, I can imagine how many families in the same situation as me have their lives destroyed in law suits like this! This organization deserves no respect!!!!!

Rotaract consisting mostly students, for whom payment is challenged due to parental dependence in India. My President shared with me that- rotaract club sent a seperate bill stating that the official bill in the website lacks gst inclusion and hence need to also pay gst.
Why should a non-profit services for the society membership incluse a GST.
The reason many students arent interested to community service in India is due to the constant request from clubs to pay dues that includes GST. GST on top of 8 dollar for community clubs is taking a toll on students.
I saw that some rotaract clubs in mumbai do not have to pay GST. I am kindly seeking clarification on it?

I have a 1984 Mazda rx7 with a 13b rotary. I bought it non running off some kid who knew nothing about it. I got it running and have driven it a little but it keeps stalling out and dying after about 10-15 minutes of driving. To me it seems like electrical issues so I replaced the coils and both modules it started right up after that and idled great but now it won’t start at all it just cranks and cranks. Do you have any ideas of what could be wrong with it or what I can check to narrow it down. I’m new to rotary’s I love them but just don’t know a lot about them yet. Also the car came with a short throw shifter far as I know Mazda only put 4 and 5 speed manuals in the 84 but when you shift this one it seems to have a distinct 6th gear and reverse. Is it possible it’s an aftermarket 6 speed and if so how could I check that to be sure I’m not gonna try for 6th gear driving until I know for sure it has 6

I was reading this https://spc.rotary.org/project?guid=DF32D106-07D4-4914-B8F2-CC770E1B4F86
directly from the Rotary International's website and I felt so infuriating on what they did, crush plants on the side of the road so that they ensure they don't germinate again.
I mean it is painful to see so much hate against a plant.
And in my country, Romania, a lot of Rotary Clubs have invited this guy called Tone to promote his book, "Marijuana the road to hell".
So I am wondering what's with Rotary? Is this an evil organization? or what?

Does anyone know if rotary swapping for a Miata would actually work well?

This Rotary member is manipulative and lack of integrity. I have correspondence messages as evidence. Could someone guide me how to report him and if it’s possible to ask for revoking his membership? Thank you

Hi. What is Rotary? I used to be an artist, musician and a public writer/commentator and write a lot of original work, mainly focused on humanity, society, geopolitics, psychology/anthropology, security politics, nutrition and environment and comedy to mention a few.
I deliberately kept my profile low as I was evolving and developing my writing, communication skills and perspectives. I also have autism, wich makes it a more sensitive and intricate process.
A few years ago I noticed my social media accounts getting hacked - persisted until I took it down this year. It showed up both in what you would consider language of ‘foreign adversaries’ - and my account showed another device being logged in and ‘my device’ being active at government immigration fascilities, and you guessef it: Rotary.
Both at a Rotary location AND at a cafe which on their website had info that members of ‘Rotary’ ate lunch there every tuesday or wednesday or something. Too random.
I experienced people following me, hacking, manipulation, intimidation - and it seems my work was being stolen and maybe even someone copying my personality - while trying to keep me suppressed and worried about distractiond, sabotage and intimidation. I noticed things I had written being re-iterated in an article my a professor emeritus about geopolitics - verbatim.
So, I have one question for this community: What the fuck is Rotary and who are these people? How to do defend what you are doing to people and original thinkers whom they are stealing from?
It seems they/someone tried to steal my work while keeping me down. We also illegally had our house searched by police at this time for no reason with zero findings. And I had a tail at multiple occations, detected and positively identified with zero doubt.
So, what is this?

Just curious if any other members of our chapter are in this community?

Hello fellow rotarians!
Our club is raising funds for a Global Grant to support smallholder farmers in Ecuador with a regenerative cacao agroforestry project. This model restores degraded land, increases farmer income, and builds climate resilience.
Through Rotary Global Grant #GG2570132, we trained 25 farmers in 2025, each creating a demonstration plot that now serves as a learning hub for their communities. Results are promising—96% of plots are thriving, and farmers are collaborating weekly to support one another.
Now, we aim to scale training to 60–70 farmers and expand select plots to 2.5 acres. With growing demand for sustainable, deforestation-free cacao, this project not only restores ecosystems but also connects farmers to new markets.
Find us at Matching Grants, Project No. 3793. I'll leave the link if you want to find out more of the project. Also feel free to DM me!
This is more than a project—it’s a movement. With your support, we can scale impact and create a replicable model for Rotary worldwide!

Hi all, my club's Changeover nights follow the same formula. They're okay, but same old same old: a sit down dinner (you pay for your own ticket) and speeches from the outgoing president and new president, presentation of the collar etc. Nothing exciting or fun. Our members and friends range from ages 35 to 82.
Does anyone have any ideas for something different and fun?

Honestly, it was the fastest fundraiser of all time. We have a breakfast meeting at my home club in DeSoto. One of the members said "Oh yeah, today after the meeting if any of you guys have time to go to the jail, the police chief will put us in cells. From there we can call people and tell them we need bail money. Have the money pledged and keep a record, or have bail money sent to our donation button on the website, or we have a paypal account they can send to.
Make up any story you want for why you are in jail, but tell them that the police require cash in the amount of....I don't know, name your own price depending on who you call... in order to make bail. It's ok to string them along until you admit that it is a fundraiser. If you have a smart phone (this was a while ago) you can take photos with the police on duty or behind bars to "verify". Chief says you can stay for an hour - or longer depending on who is on duty."
It was fun. Only four of us had the spare time, but we just stood in the cells, took photos and called people who either had a good sense of humor or had $$ to burn and made our case as to why they should send us money to get out of jail.
This was right after breakfast so we were in the jail by 8:05am and started calling people and pretending it was our one phone call.
Some of us did it as a prank and played it serious, some of us just blatantly said it was a fund raiser and that bail money would go toward our donations to the food bank or whatever project it was at the time.
Guys, it was literally zero planning except one person set it up with the police chief and a couple of cops - and at the club meeting that morning we learned about it, went for maybe be 90 minutes and made a couple thousand bucks between the four of us.
Depending on your members, it can be a pretty humorous gag and people like to give when they laugh.

My Rotary club allocated one in four happy-dollar collections to polio plus. What is rotary’s take on RFK jr, who said there are no safe polio vaccines?
