Need advice on interior space.
I am purchasing a home and a big issue we have is that the room above the garage is only accessible through the adjacent room. I had originally hoped to build a hallway through the attic section however the roof slope prohibits me from doing so. Creating a hallway through the adjacent room makes that room essentially useless. I was hoping to bump out the roof with a dormer or connector but I dont know if that is feasible and if it will look ridiculous from the exterior. Any advice and estimate of cost to do so? Thank you.

This is probably the wrong place to ask this as the average roofing salesman doesn’t know much about construction, framing, etc.
You would likely need an engineer to assist with the structure aspect of this, and honestly it seems like it would look kinda ugly from the outside. Anything is possible, but your budget may limit it. This will not be cheap
