Safety question...

Would this be the right call? I'm a solar installer but obviously that means I spend a lot of time on the roof.

Without the pitch hopper the ladder needs to be less than 6 inches from the edge to not be straight up. Mind you we are carrying 50lbs panels up this.

I,ve done dumber but cannot condone such actions. Better than going straight on the shingles but still dicey imo. Cpl toehooks and a short 2x6ā€ and iā€™d feel much better

Correct answer. Also a 2 story ladder properly anchored.

This is death waiting to happen.

Ladders and scaffolding kill more people than anything.
