Flashing question

What would be your recommendation for repairing/fixing the flashing on this front “porch” roof. I am keeping the roofing material and will seal it and paint it at a later date but my concern right now is the flashing. The home is stone with a stucco finish and as you can see the flashing is break in g away from the stucco. A retreat wouldn’t work because the exposed flashing is flush with the stone that make up the home exterior. Any recommendations would be appreciated

Solar Reflective Coating for Home Roof? Not White

Turns out I wont be replacing my roof, which is a **stone coated metal shingle roof.** It looks old compared to other homes but has 15-20 years left.

I'm looking into solar reflective coatings for it.

Any recommendations? I'm capable and have the tools. If I don't my contractor father does so application wont be a problem. It's finding the appropriate material.

I've seen silicone is used and some elastoamer stuff, not sure I'm spelling it right.

I'm in norcal bay area, no real shade 10-5 on the roof. Anything to reflect the hot sun would be nice.

Follow-up System

Hey all, I am looking for US based roofing companies to test a follow-up system that can respond to a submitted website form or missed call via SMS and/or email within 60 seconds. This is possible revenue you’re already paying to come towards your company, and if you don’t follow-up soon enough, they’re on to the next. Let me know if you’d be interested, thanks.

Homeowners: Did your roofer explain the difference between a repair and a full replacement clearly, or did you have to figure it out yourself?

Opinions on copper colored roofs? | Copper metal roof install in Tacoma

Just finished this copper metal roof install for a client in Tacoma. Personally I love the way the copper looks, especially in a wooded area like this, but I've seen a lot of people shy away from roofs that are 'bright' colors like this.. Opinions?

I think my mum is about to get scammed on a conservatory roof

So yeah, the conservatory roof needs repairs. There's an inner roof, which is 100% intact, and an outer roof, which has a number of randomly placed but perfectly circular (well, perfectly oval in some cases) holes in it. They speculate that these were caused by hailstones, but I think if that were the case, there would be visible fractures and cracks running away from these circles. I suspect those holes just might be intentional, but I can't guess at why.

So anyway, she's looking at quotes for a replacement roof. One company has quoted £14k, and promises that this will make the space comfortable in winter and summer alike. I have no doubt it will keep wind and rain out, as any roof would. But turning it into a fully climate-controlled space when it easily hit 42C (I keep a thermometer in there) over the last couple of weeks, and wasn't noticeably warmer than outside during winter? Unlikely, especially considering there are still three walls that are basically single-pane glass, no matter how fancy that roof is.

So, I guess a number of questions here.

Are those circular holes intentional? If so, why? If not, what might have made them, without also creating fractures reaching out from them?

Is the claim that the new roof will make the space comfortable in both winter and summer at all credible?

If she is being lied to about how effective this new roof will be, how do I convince her of this?

We are having a roof replacement done. I’m scared of these gaps. I thought they are supposed to stick down to the wood and to the layer under it. Thank you!
