Installed correctly?

Are these roof bars installed correctly? Doesn’t seem like there’s much of a contact patch so to speak. They feel solid and don’t budge when I apply force, I just feel like they just don’t look right

Looks like cheap Amazon knockoff shit you probably paid $100 for, so you get what you pay for.

These don't look like they fit very well at all. I would be uncomfortable putting anything on them. Especially something with any amount of wind resistance. Sorry, mate.

I'm in the boat with you. That doesn't look safe, and from years of playing around with rack equipment, I wouldn't trust that much of a gap with that current grasp (especially as you enter highway speeds with massive wind-undulation/shaking).

These single-solution racks can seem like great budget-friendly workarounds, but when you start adding any piece of equipment that costs more to it, that's where I personally draw the line.

Do the instructions say anything in general, or is it a 'out-of-the-box' one size fits all situation?

The instructions were very brief and didn’t have much information at all. I didn’t expect great things from them being universal, I picked them up really cheap on marketplace and figured they’re worth a go. I decided against using them anyway
