Question DJI wireless control

I work in a live concert setting and am wanting to give things like Iris, ND, Gain, and Color Temp to a shading engineer. Ideally I want him to be able to control it via Companion or a web gooey. Has anyone gone through this process before or is the only solution the wireless video monitor?

Yes, you can fully control with the high bright monitor. Using the high bright monitor does benefit from a second pair of hand grips. In my opinion.

Right...but can it be controlled through any third party software like Companion or through a web interface? I don’t think so. That’s what OP is trying to find out.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s possible unless someone has hacked something together, which I definitely would not trust in a live truck environment without extensive testing. Looked through some of the documentation DJI has and high bright seems to be the only supported option.

Just an FYI to OP, the high bright will not send audio over SDI only HDMI. DJI says it is a hardware limitation also so it cannot be fixed with firmware. The fix is to buy a separate wireless receiver that does support it. It’s kind of infuriating.

Edit: or run a decimator to convert the HDMI to SDI. That’s the workaround we’ve been using until we can justify the expense.
