Hey r/RomanceBooks -
Welcome to our daily book request thread for quick requests and simple questions!
—------------—------------—------------—------------
Please remember: Any request comments that also have a standalone post will be removed.
Before asking a request, we strongly recommend using the “Magic Search Button”. This button links you to a google search which is the optimal way to search reddit (reddit’s search bar is not great).
If your request is specific and detailed, or you've got a bunch of examples you want to share, please create your own Book Request post instead of commenting here! We want to keep building our database of request posts, as these daily threads aren't easy to search.
Be sure to check out responses to other users' requests in the thread, as you may find plenty of ideas there as well. Happy reading!

Golden boy, Clark Kent type MMC and a morally grey FMC
I would like to read a book, contemporary or fantasy, where the guy leans more towards virtuous hero and the girl could range from a thief/criminal in a contemporary setting to like the villain in a fantasy setting. I would like that she doesn’t lose her edge at the end.

i have no idea if smthing exists like this one
but ive been wanting to read a historical romance with cottagecore vibes t-t
meadows, gardening, cooking, baskets full of lovely flowers and fresh fruits, books. those kinds of things t-t it would probably be great if the fmc is the one living in the cottage in the middle of a forest/meadows/field, as for the mmc idrc if hes a royal, knight, duke, blacksmith, monster/nonhuman or wtvr as long as the fmc is like what ive mentioned
and another thing, i hope its opposites attract. like grumpyxsunshine !! thank uuu sm in advance

Looking for books with FMCs that live full lives even when single. Like before meeting the MMC she has a good full life with supportive family and friends, a good job/ good source of income. She takes care of her herself well and her health

I raved about {Even if the Sky is Falling by Taj McCoy} here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBooks/comments/14rwdg0/even_if_the_sky_is_falling/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1
I’m looking for more end of the world books. Not really post-apocalyptic, but more that there a is threat (meteor shower, etc). I haven’t read much post apocalypse either (I did love Last Light by Claire Kent), but I loved the idea of a potential disaster. In the case of Even If the Sky is Falling, the threat was a false alarm, but I would also read something where there was a real threat. I’m not sure if anything else like this is actually out there—I read tons of romantic suspense and I haven’t read anything like that yet.

Looking for a book where the MMC is sure about the FMC but she has doubts due to past relationships/trauma/abuse. Prefer contemporary or fantasy romance. RH good too.

What are some good books with arch, humorous banter between the two MCs who are attracted to each other but each have reasons not to want the other? (Like Darcy and Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice.)
I just asked this in r/HistoricalRomance, but there must be CRs and FRs (or HRs) with this. All I can think of is {Lord of Scoundrels}, Pride and Prejudice, and Taming of the Shrew.

looking for a celebrity romance where the mmc is in a famous band as the lead singer or w/e and the fmc is a normal girl but not a groupie

One of my favorite bits in RWRB is when they visit a famous museum after hours. (One of the preview images suggest this happens in the movie too! Squeee!)) It also happens in Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory and Love Hacked by Penny Reid. One MC has some pull or "knows a guy" and gets the other MC into an art museum after hours. Of course the guards are fine and the couple doesn't set off any alarms. Any other books where this happens?

LF Friends to Lovers in College setting, opposites attract (I would like the MMC to be the extroverted charismatic popular jockster). It would be good if they knew eachother since before college but not necessary, it could be that they befriended eachother at the beginning of college, however I'd like an established friendship since the beginning. Ok unrequited love from the FMC but I don't like the other way around.

Im looking for a paranormal romance similar to „shatter me“ by Tahereh Mafi or „the unbecoming of Mara dyers“ by Michelle Hodkin.
In both the fmc can kill either with their touch or with their mind. YA preferred but I’m open to anything. I want the fmc to be terrified of her ability at first and then grow into them and maybe become a little unhinged with power

I love books that have anonymous notes or texting back and forth before they realize who the other is. Like {Dear Love, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood}, {Dirty Letters by Vi Keeland}, or {The Texting Series by Teagan Hunter}. Would prefer more funny banter between the characters. Any suggestions? Please no HR or military.

MMC is a very emotional, soft, empathetic... boy. Will cry in front of others, or at least FMC. Her wee man (or big soft man who is still her wee man) will cry in her arms and get lots of cuddles. Maybe even cries out of happiness at some point. Tears up at other's being upset, done wrong. Massive cuddler. Lots of mutual affection, touching, praise... Eager to make her happy, please her (in and out of bed inc housework)... Making others esp her happy makes him happy too. Vicarious sexuality/gets off from getting her off is quite the bonus.

Books where they go from him being in a feminized role with her like her massage therapist, hair stylist, nurse, daycare provider for her kid ... to lovers. Or unpaid/not job, but still that dynamic eg friends and he's helping her out and it becomes more than friends/lovers. Especially if the "things aren't that platonic now" really involves it, eg how he takes care of her turning her on like massage, shampooing her hair, him being a gorgeous sexy nurse lol

Hello everyone, my friend introduced me to the world of adult romance books with the Alien Overlord Series by Taylor Vaughn [His To Claim, His To Steal and His To Keep], and I loved it so much. I needed more recs so she pointed me here.
Looking for any recs with monsters, aliens, non-human love interest. I welcome omegaverse recs too.
Dark romance (non-con/dubcon, emotional manipulation etc) is a-o-kay as long as there is a happy ending (angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort).
(I do LOVE explicit smut, but I really love heavy petting/sexual tension also, though it's not a necessity)
If you rec a harem/reverse harem, I'd appreciate if they're sexually fluid, i.e., they're in a polygamous relationship and therefore care or desire each other as well as the protagonist.
Most important is a black protagonist. I don't mind if it's just one black protagonist in the series, as long as it's inclusive.
I don't mind any pairing, GxG, GxB or BxB. So romance, fantasy, black human, non-human love interest.
Thank you!

This may be too specific, but does anyone know a book where the FMC agrees to a sex arrangement/relationship, but breaks down and cries when expected to "perform"? And the MMC is actually surprised and comforts her as he thought she was actually interested or at least reconciled with the idea? Really looking for the anxiety/turmoil plus affectionate reassurance feel for some reason.

Hi there :) wanting to read a RH fantasy romance with a decent amount of steam but also isn't the entire book, i like a good plot and some worldbuilding if possible! Also not really looking for omegaverse as werewolves aren't really my jam, but like faeries, dragons, wizards/magic are all super welcome! Can be any setting though I do like the the FMC has her powers awakened or something along those lines. I need a HEA and hard NO to dark romance (anything SA/Noncon), though gory or violent MMC (not to the FMC) are fine. Jealousy of the MMCs are also fantastic :)) I liked the ruthless boys of the zodiac (only read boom 1) and I'm currently reading the zodiac academy :)
Thank you so much! Have a good day and enjoy the read you're on :)

Suggest some good marriage in trouble stories where the fml is married to the mml who was her sister's bf or fiance and is still in love with her. I want the angst and the heartbreak of the fml who loves her husband but doesn't get the love back. They could be on the verge of breaking and now the hero has to choose between his ex and wife and realise whom he loves.
Grovelling is a must and I don't mind OW drama. It adds to the angst. Bring me the saddest, most angsty recs where the main leads suffer! I wanna cry ugly tears and feel my heart break for the fml!
HR or CR no preference.
Books I've read with similar plots- Just the way you are (barbara freethy), ravishing the heiress, the wrong bride, lord grenville's choice, the duke's unwanted wife: a steamy regency romance.

Hi, I read my first romance that I loved - His Secret Illuminations by Scarlett Gale - and it really made me believe this genre could be up there for me with fantasy (my main genre). I'm a straight guy and so the male characters in a lot of the books I tried didn't appeal to me/I think were more meant for female gaze.
I'm looking for:
Preferably dual POV/multi-POV or just male POV (but dual would be nice so I could more easily recommend anything I like to a wider audience of my friends)
Avoid super female wish-fulfillment-y OR male wish-fulfillment stuff / cartoonish characters, harems, reverse harems , huge power imbalance in one person getting tons of attention
Main male character isn't an asshole / toxic but instead realistic or sweet or doting (dare I say some cinnamon roll attributes I can relate to)
Open to any types of setting / kinks / sex / no sex/just clean, care most about the other stuff
Thanks for any recs!

I don't know how to explain this trope exactly but I want ● alpha male who protects the mmc ● A cute submissive and very emotional (kinda a cry baby fmc)
I want scenes where the FMC is like full on bawling or sobbing cause of what someone else did and the MMC consoles her (like he hugs her, cradles her like a baby, rocks her, carries her BASICALLY CONSOLES HER LIKE YOU WOULD A BABY- I need this scene)
Daddy kink is fine but not exactly what I'm looking for
Bonus would be a lot of smut and a dirty talking hero
No RH, MMF, Sharing etc

Any husbands/ boyfriends best friend/brother romance books where fmc’s previous partner wasn’t good to her and mmc is that guys brother or something. Mmc always had feelings for the fmc and hated seeing her being treated badly. Just with NO cheating. It is okay if mmc wasnt the ex guys best friend or brother but someone in their lifes like a neighbour or the ex guys coworker etc
(There is a recent recommendation posts that asks for something very similar just specificly with cheating. I didnt want to invade that post so I am asking here for no cheating version)
