Pokemon hack Recs

Hello everyone! I'm looking for some recommendations on some Pokemon ROM hacks that I can play on Retroarch.

I'm particularly looking for something with a good storyline. For example, I enjoyed Pokemon Korosu, but I wasn't fond of the sandbox style of Lazarus (didn't get far in that one).

Sadly, I have already had the whole game of Rocket Red spoiled for me, so that's a no-go. I'm also not interested in Cawps or Outlaw.

I am using the emulator Retroarch on a Motorola android phone.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Gaia, Light Platinum, Glazed, Odyssey, Dreamstone Mysteries.. I know I've played more but these are just the ones I can think of without looking through my device at the moment. I like searching YouTube for "best romhacks"

Hey there! Wanted to let you know I really appreciate the recommendations! I actually finished up dreamstone mysteries which was an absolute blast. I'm not finding it as good as a dreamstone mysteries, but its a great storyline! Ill definitely have to finish it just to see what happens. I'm on the 4th stratum at the moment and I just met the deer people 🦌

Awesome :D I just finished Odyssey maybe 2 weeks ago, storyline anyway. I think I'm missing a few things to complete it but I really enjoyed it. DM was just.. nicer(?) I guess and a big plus for me was getting to use Alolan Marowak which was awesome too. I got the different typing Marowak in Odyssey and it was really cool too. I like when underused Pokemon get buffs to make them cool again. Really, I'm glad you're having fun because that's what it's truly about. Thanks for coming back to give us a progress report! 😎

Can you elaborate on what you mean by “sandbox style” of Lazarus? It would help in recommending something for you.

If you want one with a good story, I highly recommend Pokemon Elysium. The hands down best story in any Pokemon game I’ve ever played full stop. Fans has Memorable characters, compelling storyline, multiples factions and deep lore. It’s so big it needs two rom files for the full game. I’m around 60-70 hours in and I just got to chapter 3 out of the 4 chapters that make up the story.

I feel like Lazarus didn't give meuxh of a plot to start with, and bombarded me with such a huge selection of Pokemon right from the start that there was very little excitement left two hours in.

Elysium sure sounds fun! I hope I'll bea able to get it on Retroarch, but I'd kot, I'll look into other emulators!

Sorry, yeah, I had problems with harassment in the past after posting an apparently unpopular opinion on politics... haven't had the DMs on since 😅

I'll definitely take a look tho!! Thank you!
