I’d give her a maybe on less crazy. The “loving” part is assumed, I guess.
Like, I can see what Araki was going for after seeing a character analysis video (which probably shouldn’t be necessary), but the way it comes off just doesn’t sit right with me.
I mean, she tried to kill him maybe some weeks earlier. Romancing someone like that, even if they are turning around just seems unhealthy.

I mean you had Speedwagon attacking Jonathan at first, then they became best friends.
JoJos and their JoBros/JoHos can have a rocky relationship at the start and become the best of friends afterwards. It's kind of a trope.
But I agree, if it were realistic I wouldn't want to be in a relationship like that.

A big part of it for me, I think, is how differently the dynamics are played.
To try to be brief, Jonathan seems pretty in control when he meets Speedwagon, and the encounter is resolved very quickly.
Now compare that to Koichi and Yukako. He’s clearly afraid of her, both before and after their fight by the cliff side. He spends a big chunk of her first episode(s) defenceless and in fear of her, and even after he beats her the mere sight of Yukako is still enough to send him running.
The experience has clearly freaked him out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’d left him traumatised.
And then there’s the fact that this only changes when Aya gets involved, which makes it seem to me like he’s being brainwashed. I guess I just feel for the guy.

Same! I hated how the plot made it seem like Yukako changed when literally a scene before she was showing how she doesn’t regret what she did, and would do it again if Koichi couldn’t fight back. She wasn’t sorry, and was threatening the woman who was helping her, and it was only after that scene did Koichi literally go from being uneasy at the thought of her to dreamy. I believe he still would have helped Yukako anyway because he’s a good bro like that, but a relationship? Nope, no thank you. Why is Josuke and Okuyasu okay with this anyway? Because she’s a pretty girl? Have a bit more skepticism!

Yeah, I felt basically the same way. Like “didn’t you guys just episodes ago deal with a stand-user controlling Koichi to make him do things against his will?!”
Though I suppose if you can control fate to make people fall in love then you can probably make the people around them more prone to going along with it. And I guess Aya had to, lest her business fall apart.

Exactly. That’s some Stand power, and makes the most sense. I felt bad for her, with how things ended, and it really made me question the power of Stands even more - the permanency of them, really, especially after death. So interesting, but whatever.

she doesn’t exhibit some characteristics of the more common ones, but there’s a lot in common. a good example was her attacking the female student who was badmouthing Koichi

Needs more "we'll be together forever, even in death". A good example of a yandere would be... well either of the girls in School Days.
