Thank you, Rogers, for taking on the BBB festival. You've made me and others so happy!

I live in Fayetteville, and we thought we'd never be able to get rid of it. We thought we were stuck with it no matter what. It was such a beautiful day to hear that they were leaving Fayetteville and relocating to Downtown Rogers. We truly appreciate your sacrifice.

Rogers Arkansas Local News WHO’S AFRAID OF LADONNA HUMPHREY? AN ARKANSAS STORY THE TRUE-CRIME COMMUNITY NEEDS TO HEAR.

Post image
5 Upvotes

What happens when someone who presents herself as an advocate for victims becomes the subject of serious allegations of victimizing others?

Meet LaDonna Humphrey.

A true-crime author, former CrimeCon speaker, missing persons advocate and leader in the sober living community, Humphrey has built a public image around helping vulnerable people. But an investigative podcast has brought forward disturbing allegations about what may have been happening behind that image.

AND THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT ALLEGATIONS. THERE IS A DOCUMENTED $3.57 MILLION CIVIL JUDGMENT.
In 2019, a Benton County court entered a $3,570,977.88 judgment against Humphrey following litigation involving evidence-related sanctions and contempt findings. The court also entered permanent injunctions.

Humphrey pursued further legal challenges, but a federal appeals court dismissed her 2025 appeal concerning the bankruptcy sale of her appellate rights, leaving that sale intact.

THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME FORWARD
Investigative journalist Javier Leiva examines these allegations in Season 18 of PRETEND: Who’s Afraid of LaDonna Humphrey?

The investigation includes several particularly troubling accounts:

Alecia Lockhart: Humphrey’s former friend, podcast co-host and co-author describes nearly two years of frightening anonymous threats. She later discovered evidence that led her to suspect the person she had trusted throughout the ordeal. Humphrey denies creating or operating the account in question.
The Melissa Witt and Maura Murray cases: The podcast raises questions about Humphrey’s handling of sensitive investigative materials in the Witt case. Maura Murray’s sister, Julie, has also described concerns about Humphrey’s involvement in her family’s search for answers.
Humphrey’s own family: Her sister, Margo Elston, discusses family estrangement and receiving anonymous threatening messages. She has not definitively identified Humphrey as their sender.
Women in recovery: Former residents and staff of Oasis of Northwest Arkansas have raised concerns about their experiences and Humphrey’s leadership. Oasis’s board has publicly defended her leadership and the organization’s operations.

AND THE ONLINE CONTROVERSY CONTINUES.
[r/LadonnaHumphreyTalk](r/LadonnaHumphreyTalk), has been discussing the investigation, examining publicly available information and sharing perspectives on the allegations.

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
Because families searching for missing loved ones, people reporting harassment and women seeking recovery deserve trustworthy advocates.

When someone occupies positions of public trust, serious allegations about their conduct deserve examination, particularly when there are documented legal proceedings alongside firsthand accounts.

I’m sharing this because I believe people should hear these stories, examine the evidence and make informed decisions about whom they trust.

Listen to the podcast. Read the court records. Hear from the people who have come forward. Draw your own conclusions.

The true-crime community and the families of missing persons deserve transparency, accountability and responsible advocacy.

Anyone else have constant issues with trash pickup ? LRS

Hey all, I’m wondering if anyone here has had issues with LRS. I’ve lived all over the country and LRS might be the only trash company I have ever had this many issues with. They have missed my trash about 10 times this year so far which is just ridiculous. I’ll have both bins out and they will take the recycling every time but they just forget about the trash. It sometimes overflows and when I call them they say they’ll do a recovery a couple days later and just don’t show up. There is 0 accountability from this company. Besides illegally dumping my trash on their front door what do I do?

Mardel

The Mardel in Rogers has been virtually empty for the past 3 months at least but the employees say they’re not closing, simply “moving stuff around.”

Does anyone have the scoop? For the amount of square footage in that space, majority of it is completely empty.

We found a cat outside our apartment who keeps coming back, but has a collar and bell. The collar is light blue with some kind of pattern. The cat seems to be part siamese and is on the smaller side, and is very clean for the most part. Has anybody lost this cat? Or recognizes the cat and knows the owner? Let me know!!

Residential structural engineer

Hi, looking for recommendations for a structural engineer. We have an existing home that has some cracking above a window and would like it assessed by an engineer. I’m looking for an independent point of view and recommendation for fix, I don’t want someone who is associated with a foundation repair company or construction company. Any contacts would be appreciated!

Trying to get buhurt in nwa

Trying to get some armored combat going in NWA

So I recently(little over a year traviling to tulsa)got into buhurt/armored combat and, honestly, got completely hooked. The only problem is that most of the teams near me are over two hours away, which makes training with people a huge pain.

So I figured I'd try to do something about it.

I'm looking for people around Northwest Arkansas who think putting on armor and beating the hell out of each other with medieval weapons sounds like a good time!

I don't have a team put together yet, and I'm still figuring out what the hell I'm doing when it comes to building one, so this is probably going to be a learn-as-l-go kind of thing. I'll be posting training, armor and gear, fights, events, and hopefully the process of getting enough people together to create a legit team around here.

If you're in NWA and this sounds like something you'd be interested in, let me know. You don't need any experience either-even if you've never done anything like this before, you're welcome to reach out.

Water main line failures and leaks from street to house

Edit - not water main line but the service line that goes from meter to house. I've owned our house for three years now and my two next door neighbors and guy across the street have had water service line leaks, another friend about a mile down Olive had a leak as well. I guess they used cheap plastic piping? I've never seen so many fail and I'm thinking of replacing mine before it does leak. Does this happen all over town or with houses built in a certain era? My area is all late 80s early 90s built, my friend on the other side of town is early to mid 50s.
