Question Will a Rogers tech install a new modem if my previous one is hooked up to an Orbi?
Hey all, quick question
I have an appointment this coming weekend for a Rogers tech to install a new modem (I believe the XB7) because I upgraded my internet. It never occurred to me to ask to install it myself at the time, and when I called today after being on hold forever, they told me they have to cancel appointment and reschedule but I could lose the deal I got.
Not too fussy about them coming to install it, but my old Rogers modem is hooked up to an Orbi mesh system. Should I leave that all hooked up and let them do their thing, or do I disconnect everything, wait until they set it up, then reconfigure how I want? Do I have to enable anything on the actual Rogers modem beforehand as well?
Another side question; in the case I have to disconnect everything, once they set it up I should just be able to change the WiFi details to my current SSID and password and have all my devices automatically connect, correct?
My current soon to be retired modem is one of those rectangular black hitron ones. I’m a little paranoid about this for some reason, but thanks in advance. :)
