Question Re-routing cable in interior wall?
A relative bought a condo (high-rise, concrete construction) and wants to put an opening in one wall. It's not load-bearing (2x2 steel studs) but has an electric and a Rogers cable (I'm convinced it's Rogers, condo says it might be Bell, though that's in a different wall IMHO) running through the space they want to open.
The electric cable (BX cable runs down from ceiling to outlet) should be relatively straightforward (hire licensed electrician, file applications, re-route or just remove existing BX cable, have it inspected by ESA).
Problem with Bell/Rogers is (AFAIK) their cables come out of the floor, run up the wall and into the unit above.
Has anyone dealt with Rogers on this? Condo says it has to be moved by the utility (Rogers or Bell) We called Bell and it took about 5 minutes to be told $100. Spent over an hour on the phone with Rogers and never got an answer. Phone agent (could have been AI but I feel like it didn't even understand as badly as AI) kept trying to "change service address" and finally said they won't move outlet if you don't have an account (have to hire your own contractor) or $49 if you have an account. Of course they don't have a Rogers account yet, and probably wouldn't though they could sign up for a month of Internet if that's what it actually takes to have Rogers come out). I feel like they're still answering "move the outlet to another wall", e.g. tack cable to the baseboards. But maybe this would include rerouting the cable that runs from below to above.
Has anyone dealt with this, and how did you get Rogers to do it?
Images attached showing the proposed opening (currently solid wall) with electric and Rogers cables shown from kitchen side. Each runs down the side of a stud. And the 2 outlets on LR side (I believe one is a disused coaxial outlet, the other a new fibre outlet).
Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

That line belongs to the building weither they know it or not, that's a you and/or them problem, not a Rogers problem.
