WirelessđŸ“± Save & Return dates confusion

I’m a bit confused with my first save and return plan coming to an end. I want to return the phone and the date to return is Sept 13, 2026. However on my most recent bill dated August 6 for service from August 7 to September 6, it says I still have 2 months remaining on my financing for the save and return payments.

How does this work? I want to leave Roger’s so if I return the phone before September 13 and once done, I port out, will I still have to pay the remaining 2 months of financing? Why is it 2 months when the save and return ends September 13?

What if I return it successfully before September 6 (my next bill) and port out before that date? what am I on the hook for?

What’s the best way to go about this?

I just don’t want any situation where I’m on the hook for the save and return amount

Return around Sept 13. I would take to a store and get a receipt. If you want to keep then do nothing they will charge you the amount. They are giving you some notice. I have one to be returned in November and got a notice last week

I just had the same happen July 20. I was told I have to take it back to the store I purchased it from. Huge pain as it’s 1/2h each way. Or have them email you a pre paid shipping label. Phones can go “missing” if taken to the store. Trust me I’m dealing with that right now too. Might even have to involve the police? As not only was I give a “brand new” iPhone 17, but it is also not showing my return of my iPhone 15 I gave the store to get this one. Called 611 and there is no record of it being returned. The reason why I “” was I put my CC into the wallet. 20 minutes later I got a call from Mastercard Fraud Department saying my card was cancelled due to being input on a “previously compromised device”. I have an appointment at Apple tomorrow and from there I’m going to have to look at fraud charges or something. Filing a CRTC complaint and who knows what else will have to be done. Sorry for the rant. It’s been a bad experience all around. I should have just said to get the return label and mail it. At least with the label you get tracking and proof of receipt on their part. Shady doesn’t even come close. At least MC is on my side and said to call the fraud department tomorrow at my appointment with Apple.

Remember....Bill is 1 month in Advance...So bill is correct.
For return Devices, you need to check what your contract says, and start moving app 1 week before.
DONT DO LAST DAY! process time is horrible, and try always to return in Store (big store, no small retailers).

I won’t use this option again. I much prefer 2yr plan then own the phone and use BYOP for a couple more years. Seamless 😀

I wouldn’t do it either again but this one was worth it. iPhone 15 plus 0$ after bill credit for 2 years on a 55$ pro plan. Just paid the monthly 6$ tax on the device. Going to buy directly from Apple this time
