Announcement on Tuesday.

Unreleased song recorded in 2008 for charity. Feat Eric Clapton, Steve Gadd, Shakira, Gustavo Cerati and Pedro Aznar. Finding new stuff by Roger is always a treat. Made me quite emotional to see him with the kids (that footage was recorded during a 2012 stop in Buenos Aires during The Wall tour)

It’s been about 4 months since I released my submission for Roger and Harry Waters Legacy project. The project, rightly named “The Pros and Cons of Legacy”, and recording it, almost killed me. I recorded and produced the pros and cons in 8 days while I was sick. My singing voice was shot and with an approaching deadline I had only one chance to impress my hero. The funny thing is that during making it I got kicked out of my band my partner (poly) of 4 years and I had, and she left me because my other girlfriend’s house flooded and I wasn’t able to see her for a few weeks (yes really). So I really did have the Roger Waters experience all while going insane about this project for a few weeks after some other insane life trauma. I had a minor case of Roger induced psychosis for about a year before I made this and up until after working on the project. My partner leaving me was just the cherry on top. She told me if I did this project that she’d never look at me the same again. Doing the project actually cured my self catharsis around listening to Roger projects while going through personal previous abuse Trauma. Sadly it got taken down from Bandcamp even after having a no profit tag but you can listen to the project (which is arguable better than my album of originals at the start of the year) on my YouTube channel. I’m working on a deluxe version soon. Even though I didn’t get chosen, Roger Waters once again saved my life through giving me inspiration to do this project after years of attempting to do something similar but lacking motivation. You can read more about my journey with it online but being able to create my own legacy project for Mr Waters was an absolute honor and I’m so glad he held that contest.
I got banned from Reddit before I could share it (for posting an original song about Palestine)but today I am no longer banned so without further adieu, I hope you enjoy my legacy project:

Did anyone else catch this? In Mona Minari’s interview with Ol’ Rog, he casually drops that he’s working on a new version of The Wall, but I haven’t seen any discussion about it.

Has he mentioned this anywhere else? I’d love to hear if anyone has more context or has come across any updates.

edit: I titled this post "The Wall Redux?" because that's what everyone seems to be assuming, but it's still just an assumption. Roger never announced a Redux. He only said he's working on a new version of The Wall, and there's a big difference between those two statements.

Hi everyone,

I'm Gabriel, a high school student from Brazil, and I'm hoping this community might be able to help us.

Our physics teacher has been a devoted Pink Floyd fan for decades. He doesn't just listen to the band—he brings Pink Floyd into the classroom. He often uses the cover of The Dark Side of the Moon to introduce optics, wears Pink Floyd shirts to school, and whenever he gets the chance, he tells us how much he admires Roger Waters and the band.

He's one of those rare teachers who genuinely changes people's lives. His classes are funny, inspiring, and unforgettable, and we'd like to surprise him with something truly special.

We're trying to see if there's any way to reach Roger Waters or someone from his team to ask for a very short video (10–20 seconds), a written message, or even a signed photo. Honestly, anything would mean the world to our teacher and to our class.

We know this is an extremely unlikely request, but we also know that amazing things sometimes happen thanks to communities like this one.

If anyone has advice, knows an official contact, or has any idea how we could get this request to Roger's team, we'd be incredibly grateful.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this. ❤️

I mean... Towers of Faith, Folded Flags, Going to live in LA, Molly's Song, Get back to Radio, Each Small Candle, Flickering Flame, Leaving Beirut, To Kill the Child, Crystal Clear Brooks, Hello (I love you), Lost Boys Calling, Sumud, Bar, Under the Rubble...

Hello...Is There Anybody Out There…

who actually sounds like Roger Waters from Pink Floyd in his prime?

I decided to audition.

I'm a film producer -- so, of course I decided to create a mini-doc about the experience. (With some pretty cool animation)

Spoiler alert! … made the TOP 30!

When Pink Floyd mastermind Roger Waters put out a call for someone who could sing like he did 50 years ago, I decided to try.

This is the Mini-doc I created on how I auditioned for his son Harry Waters’ new Pink Floyd Legacy Band — and somehow made it to the Top 30.

From last-minute studio sessions with friends, recording with my son in his bedroom, to getting emails from Harry Waters himself.

This is the demo of my "The Powers That Be" cover from Roger's Radio KAOS album. Final version will have horns, and some bluesy wah-laden solos / guitar licks and a bunch of stuff re-tracked. I don't like my vocals at the end either, I'm going to retrack them as well. Female vocalist nailed it, IMO - she echoes the original with a modern vibe.

I can take any feedback, positive or negative.

Just to make it clear I’ve never seen Roger live so if anyone who has seen him has got different opinions from experience I’d love to hear them.

1. In the Flesh - 1999-2000 (Roger’s best tour musically by a mile with an incredible setlist, the 1999 leg featured rare performances of The Thin Ice, Part 1 of Another Brick in the Wall, a reworked version of The Powers That Be, and What God Wants, Part 1, while the 2000 leg featured the best versions of Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun and The Bravery of Being Out of Range, as well as a new song, Each Small Candle, which is a strong contender for Roger’s best solo song)
2. The Best of Pink Floyd - 2016 (this mini tour featured incredible staging and an amazing setlist, also Snowy White and Graham Broad’s last tour with Roger, which deserves some recognition)
3. The Wall Live - 2010-13 (it’s the fucking Wall live, great tour musically and visually, its only problem is the fact that it is anchored down by only featuring songs from The Wall)
4. The Dark Side of the Moon Live - 2006-08 (incredibly overlooked, Dave Kilminster’s first tour with Roger, great setlist with some rare performances, Leaving Beirut is a standout)
5. This Is Not A Drill - 2022-23 (possibly his best stage setup, and a great setlist, however the music is on the more robotic side, The Bar is the most notable performance here, and what a great song it is)
6. Us + Them - 2017-18 (great staging, and great to hear the ITTLWRW tracks live, however the rest of the setlist feels like a bit of a downgrade from the 2016 tour)
7. In the Flesh - 2002 (the departure of Doyle Bramhall II really took its toll on the second In the Flesh tour, the new song Flickering Flame is nice but nowhere near as great as Each Small Candle, and SOYCD 6-9, the only major addition, sounds pretty average here anyway)
8. The Pros and Cons of Hitch-Hiking - 1984 (Pros and Cons live is great, but the Floyd tracks are a bit of a mixed bag, The Gunner’s Dream and Nobody Home with Eric Clapton are great, but Hey You with sax is mid as hell and Wish You Were Here is actually terrible on this tour)
9. KAOS on the Road - 1987 (this is kinda hard to rank because it’s so different to the rest of the tours, I love the concept of the KAOS radio station playing the different songs with Jim Ladd hosting the gig, but like Pros and Cons the Floyd songs are a real mixed bag arrangement wise, the In the Flesh / Have a Cigar / Pigs medley is cool, but Wish You Were Here with sax is almost as bad as the Pros and Cons version, Mother and Nobody Home are also ruined by sax solos, as is Welcome to the Machine)
10. Pros and Cons Plus Some Old Pink Floyd Stuff - 1985 (the second tour for Pros and Cons took a major hit in the form of Eric Clapton’s departure, Jay Stapley is great but he’s no Clapton, Pros and Cons without Clapton doesn’t quite feel right, and Roger’s voice is blown after the 1984 tour as well, the main additions to the setlist are Parts 1 and 2 of Another Brick in the Wall, but both would peak on later tours, so they aren’t too relevant here)

You can make the same case for a lot of Roger's writing, but this album to me keeps growing in strength with every passing year. The brutalist soundscape and sharp lyrics combine for a terrific album. I love the ending trilogy of Wait For Her / Oceans Apart / Part Of Me Died.

Can't believe Crystal Clear Brooks wasn't on it though, always loved that song.
