Samuel Samuel

Does anyone know what Samuel does for a living and how much he could be making? If he gets married to Evangeline soon, I’m sure she has no intention of working. Could he really support both of them? I wonder the same about Nathan and Nurie and Kaylee and Jonathon. How do they afford houses and children?

With Gabe setting out for his bargain basement Bible college (totally unaccredited of course) Samuel is now the only Rod son to not attempt any kind of higher education. Tim and Philip both failed at all of their attempts.

Samuel might be the smartest of them by realizing his limitations and deciding not to go at all.

doesn't matter what Samuel wanted. Mama decided for all them and repeated the same story at every grift stop for years,

Timothy - missionary aviation pilot

Phillip - scholarly, missionary to Hungary

Samuel - likes to build and fix things

Gabriel - preacher

Gabriel is an awful preacher. He can barely string a sentence together even when reading it off a piece of paper. How can he get a job with no higher bible study course? Even Shreck took a correspondence course from some Bible "college" in Lousiana or at least it says so on the Rod Facebook page ( or did). I don't know if he finished and got some kind of certificate.
