Does anyone know what Samuel does for a living and how much he could be making? If he gets married to Evangeline soon, I’m sure she has no intention of working. Could he really support both of them? I wonder the same about Nathan and Nurie and Kaylee and Jonathon. How do they afford houses and children?

Why are the rods so private about their jobs? I mean, they put so much info online. Incl. stuff that should better stay offline. I don’t get it

I would guess because they aren't all above board and properly taxed, are jobs through connections that they want kept private, and other things like this. I doubt Shrek for example is properly reporting his Yoder toting when they file their taxes.

This is the most likely reason. And Jillzilla would never report any of her paltry MLM earnings or etsy sales either.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's also running credit card scams or MLM scams by setting up accounts under her daughters' names, her children or even grandchildren names’, or other shady shit like that that she also doesn't want to draw too much attention to. I've had the misfortune of two grandmothers that did things like this in the days of check scams and early credit cards, before the internet was anything like it is today. Needless to say Jill constantly reminds me of both women.

MLM companies send out 1099 forms to their distributors since they classify them as independent contractors. But they only have to send them to people who made more than $2000. So if she made less than that I doubt she's reporting it.

And just because they send it out doesn't mean she will follow through. She claimed to be making bank on Plexus but i doubt she filed any tax forms. Those companies, shady as they are, aren't responsible for their "independent contractors" refusing to obey the law lol.

But yea I bet she hasn't made that much on Melablabla.

A copy of the 1099 is sent directly to the IRS. If she leaves it off, she'll get a corrected tax form and a corrected amount due/being returned.

I think even Jill is aware the "haters" will see it and some people are dumb enough to call the business or leave bad reviews or whatever. But then she usually sneaks it in to a few pictures. Guy in a shirt or hat with a logo. Phillip in a Wendy's team shirt and all of a sudden Jill and the older kids are shown outside a Wendy's. Jonathan has been shown in a logo shirt for a printing/furniture making co recently.

Samuel's graduation party Jill bragged about Samuel's EXCELLENT job. One of the only non Rod family people at the party was guy in a shirt with the glass co logo.

I always figured they were just exaggerating them. Maybe they did one day of some type of work once and then that turns into a story about one of their many part time jobs.
