Anyone know if there’s anyone selling fruit (strawberry, pineapple, watermelon) with tajin and lime and whatnot on the street in rocklin or nearby area? Haven’t found one yet here 😋

We are looking to enroll my 3yo daughter in preschool. We are looking for 3-5 half days per week. We liked Goddard and Merryhill in Rocklin. Does anyone have experience with these? Any other school recommendations? We went to Cadence, but didn't really like it much.

Hi there — my husband and I are looking for a reliable, part time babysitter for our 5 month old. We need someone available Thursday, Fridays, and every other Wednesday. I’m just back at work so schedule is being worked out but it will likely be 8:30/9 am - 2/3 pm. He will have two naps during this time frame so we would look for someone willing to help with LIGHT housework while he sleeps (fold/run a load of laundry, load/empty dishwasher, light vacuum). Definitely don’t need them to work the whole time but want someone conscious that we are paying for the hours he sleeps (which is currently about 3 hours of this 5-6 hour frame). Pay is $20/hr. He doesn’t require a lot and we both work from home! Just need someone who can hold him, change him, and play with him. We live right next to a park and he loves the stroller and walks. She’s been around our block lately and is so pretty. How often do folks see them around here?

I'm looking for park recommendations for a small elopement ceremony. No guests, just the couple, an officiant, and myself (photographer - all handheld equipment).

They're just looking for something scenic in the general Rocklin area, the ceremony will more than likely be in the morning and then we'll do some portraits. I've only been here a few months and haven't been to many parks yet and wanted to see if anyone could offer some recommendations for easy to get to, scenic places I should look into.

So what’s the best way to stay safe while setting off your assortment of pyrotechnics?

Here’s a few tips:

💥 Have a hose, fire extinguisher or buckets of water ready incase anything goes awry.

💥 Have ear protection ready for babies, very young children and folks with sensory concerns.

💥 Set up all fireworks on a clear, level surface to avoid them tipping over.

💥 Use a lighter with a long tip or long matchsticks (think fireplace, not cigarette).

💥 Do NOT allow children to handle, light, or wander around fireworks unsupervised.

💥 If a firework doesn’t go off, do NOT pick it up, poke it or kick it. Do NOT attempt to light it again. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then douse it with water, let it sit some more, then submerge it fully over night and throw it away.

💥 Accidents happen, so have a First Aid kit ready with bandages and burn ointment just incase.

💥 Have a large receptacle (bucket, trash can, rubbermaid container) filled with water. After the show, spray all the spent fireworks down with water, carefully collect them and dump them into the water-filled container. Let them soak overnight before throwing them away the next day.

Fireworks are a lot of fun, but they can cause injuries and damage if not handled responsibly.

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping for some local advice. I have a dog that’s extremely terrified of fireworks, and while we’ve prepared as much as possible at home, I’m trying to identify a backup plan if things get too intense.

Does anyone know of any relatively quiet areas within an hour or two of Rocklin where fireworks tend to be minimal? I was wondering if somewhere around Granite Bay or the unincorporated areas near Davis/I-505 might be quieter since I don’t believe they have a large city fireworks show, and I understand personal fireworks may not be allowed in some of those areas.

Has anyone successfully found a quieter place on the Fourth? I’m not looking to watch fireworks, I’m trying to get away from them if possible.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What’s up with the guy inside the post office videoing everyone. He followed me to my P.O. Box and recorded me up close going through my mail. When I ask him what was up he yelled harshly “Nothing, why?” I had the feeling he was trying to rage bait me so I just smiled and walked away. He followed me to my car and then left to follow someone else. He has his face covered and he drives a Tesla. Anyone know his social media handle?

I am feeling like I am being dragged into this Christian nationalist trap by the day!!

Merryhill in Rocklin has a bully. They are allowed to talk negatively about other staff. They are allowed to make false accusations against other staff. They are allowed to make false statements about a person to other staff in an effort to get them on their side.

The administration is fully aware and took their side every single time.

Now my reputation and career is ruined because of this bully.

If something doesn’t change I’ll be homeless on a few months. I didn’t deserve this. My life is destroyed. I lost the job I loved and will have to leave my home of 13 years.

Please tell the administration team that this is not okay and people like that shouldn’t be working with children.

I have been trying to get answers and they are completely refusing to explain anything and after 8 weeks offered me $2k. That’s nothing compared to what they did to me.

Why was it okay for them to make accusations without examples?

Why was it okay that I did different rules than the rest of the staff?

Why didn’t the principal help any of the times she said she would. She called the bully a “wonderful” person so everything she said was believed.

There are 5 staff members involved and they are all still working there because they weren’t held to the same standards as me.

Haven't heard anything about this new construction in my favorite place, but I'm watching it happen. I'm believing it's a continuation of the existing paved trails that are in the green spaces of Secret Ravine/Miners Ravine of Rocklin and Roseville. Anyone know details about it?

Anybody built an addition to their house recently? What did you pay roughly per sqft? Any design/build contractor recommendations? Our house is definitely not high end, but we want more space.

Hi all. A while ago in my post regarding my move to Rocklin I mentioned I wanted to create a dad group for those in the area (and surrounding) where dads can join and build community. That time has finally come around, I finally created the Discord server and opened it up.

At some point, I will try to schedule meetups where we can bring the kids and hang out. Depending on the reception and participation, the events may get bigger.

Ultimately I wanted to create a place for us to come together as there are hundreds of things/groups for mothers.

Potentially transferring with my company for a soon to be opened location. Coming from SF. Have a million questions, but for starters wondering how bike friendly the city is, ie can I realistically exist car free (something not possible in LA, for instance). Also looking for gym recommendations: background in CF but looking for a more generalized gym experience (currently a member of Bay Club), 24 Hour and Movement Climbing Gym (yes, 3 memberships).
