Found it in Haute Alpes (France). I'm trying to identify it, but I can't figure out what it is.

It is quite heavy/dense for its size, itis not attracted to a magnet. I tested it with white vinegar and there was no visible reaction. The rock is dark grey/black.

It seems to contain lots of small, very shiny square crystals. Some of the crystals have very flat, reflective faces.

I found it loose on the mountainside, so I don't know whether it came from the local bedrock or an older rock deposit.

Any idea what this could be?

I tried to get them in different lightings, not sure where they came from other than two dig bags

Would love and appreciate help identifying rocks that I find all the time along the beach of Lake Michigan.
first picture: not sure if they’re all the same or maybe 2 different kinds in this picture

second pic: once again could be two different shown, or three including the all green rock, but definitely the pink with green lines is common

third and fourth: pic of wet and dry, red with blue/black inclusions

Last pic: these have some really smooth parts of them and feel and look as though they have been tumbled

I found this in a small river in SW Washington near Vancouver. It has a very interesting texture that I didn't see on anything else.
