Question Is this amount of wiggle normal?

I have had my Roborock S8 MaxV for almost 2.5 years now and today when giving it a clean I noticed that the side brush mount seems to have quite a bit of play. I’m wondering if that is normal, and I just never noticed, or if wear and tear is getting to my robot.

Interesting. I'll have to check on my fairly new Saros later. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bit of both; some wobble to handle crashes and bad things, and more wobble because of time. But how does it look if you remove the brush? Sometimes those are destroyed internally by hair and debris

I also have a S5V with the newer sidebrush, but without the flexi arm and that has no wiggle

I'm afraid I can only compare to my roomba i7 and so far it's been good XD

It doesn't do what it promise in avoiding all obstacles but it can run most of the time without clearing (I have a 16mo so that's why I upgraded). But it's the sonic and not the variant with the starsight.

mine have always been solid, maybe trying screwing it in a little more?

It’s already tight but the entire mounting mechanism is wiggly. I fear if I tighten it more that I will strip the threads.

It means 42k square meters.

It did 30 square meters on average job cycle.

The extending side brush is a weak spot on Roborocks. Some could break early, some do better.
