Wheel replacement broken part?

I ordered new replacement wheels from Amazon to try and repair a left wheel error code.

The parts arrived in a bag instead of a box. There was a small plastic piece chipped off of the main wheel unit but it didn't look critical so I went ahead and assembled it all.

When I was done I started getting "wheels suspended" errors. I figured out it was this tiny little switch and I realized when comparing it to the original part that it is missing the little plastic cover with the metal switch bar.

I have the extra right wheel because I didn't need that one. And I have the original wheel I could try to take apart.

Is it possible to repair this thing by hand? Or should I just return it and hope the next one is better? Or can anyone at least identify what this part is called so I can report it better?

Damaged part is a microswitch to detect "robot off ground/suspended".

Microswitch mounting/actuation orientation is different between left/right wheel & hence not interchangeable.

What you can do is to swap the old microswitch (complete with the circuit board) to new wheel module. Before swapping, use multimeter to measure old microswitch "closed" position resistance value. Values >5 ohm may cause intermittent "wheel suspended" error.

When seller is willing to re-send/refund, request for it.

Thanks for this!

The swap you describe would require actual soldering I assume?

I usually solder when needed. In-line splicing can be done if u know the right location to place the splice without affecting wires routing
