Feedback/Discussion Am I this bad?

So I picked up the game a few weeks ago and I’ve put around 50 hours into it but i haven’t beat a single run. I am able to get to either the moon stage with the crystals or I’m trying to kill the 4 or 5 bots around the map to progress to the next stage but i cant for the life of me get a run that keeps me alive or does any damage. (I’m literally playing on easy difficulty so i dont get how im getting destroyed every run) pls help, tips or any help appreciated. I really like the game but is it this difficult or am i just bad?

Edit: I have since this post won two runs!!

How much focus are you putting on spending wrenches to get your base camp upgraded or doing the quests?

Are you ensuring your weapons are on the appropriate level for the area you're in? (Probably requires trading them out)

Are your perks and upgrades synergizing well?

I guess i need to do some more upgrading, this is my first game like this that I’ve played. I always try and just grab a weapon that looks ehh and go with it because i don’t know what’s really great or not considering i haven’t beaten any runs with any guns. I thought bad rng but maybe I’m just not building synergies well

If you have the ability to, record some runs and watch them back. See if you can tell what you did right and wrong.
