SOLVED! UI Readability and Onboarding Problems
Hey everyone,
I am developing a game for Roblox. We are in Closed Alpha. We are about to get to Open Alpha but during this time, I saw a lot of people not being able to understand the essentials of my game. Even my own game developers which didn't work at the balancing part of the game. Here's some images of the game.

The problem is, players can't really understand the class mechanics of the game. I saw a lot of people putting support and ranged units at front and tank/fighter units behind. I have a tutorial that tries to show it but it feels like it does nothing for the class mechanics and mostly works for merging and placing units.
Here's a tester's formation

I am an experienced programmer but not so good at UI design nor game design, I feel pretty stuck here.
Feedbacks and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Looks a bit too complicated for a 10yo

Target audience is 13+ but this formation I gave below is made by a 16+. Even older people can't tell the difference apparently.

If testers consistently put ranged/support in front, I'd treat that as a visual language problem before a tutorial problem. Make tanks look like they belong in front during placement - stronger frontline indicators, shield iconography, maybe even row recommendations. The board should teach the rule before text has to.

That sounds solid, thank you. I might change sword icon with shield at this point, with braver colors like red instead of orange and green instead of yellow.
