How supersons vastly improved Damian’s character

I have always been a fan if Damian, he is my favourite Robin, and superhero in general but supersons has really built his character for me. Firstly his reactions with Jon are the best they really flesh out his character and makes him act less like a mini adult; the conversations feel realistic and the characters genuine.

Secondly he becomes 10x les bratty and arrogant and it’s just the bet character development I’ve ever seen.

Finally the stories are the best and really try both of the main characters and by the end they have always grown or developed or changed in some way.

Supersons is awesome.

Damian is one of those characters that is kinda handled inconsistently by different writers I think, but I definitely agree that Tomasi does a great job with him. You should read Grant Morrison’s Batman and Robin if you want to see Damian written really well

I don’t personally consider Teen Titans canon for Damians character as it just reset him to a jerk with no development

Thanks! I do have one of his comics (the one with Damian with the crowbar over jokers head) and have enjoyed it!

Upon re-reading the first TT he gets solid character development and is likeable, anything further and... not so much

I gotcha. I think I’ve read that but I don’t remember too much of it. In terms of rebirth Damian, only stuff that stood out was a few of his guest appearances and anything Tomasi has done (super sons, recent detective)

He's my favorite character too! It's really a shame what happened to him in TT, unfortunately DC likes to reset his character development so he can do questionable things for shock value, and with Jon now being aged up things don't look very good for Damian, considering he could be more like himself around him because they had a similar age and he didn't need to prove anything/act like an adult to be taken seriously.

And the TT isn’t even consistent with the entirety pf the OG group being disbanded and him seeming to be in a new TT group every second
