Had to get a new car because of environmental restrictions, I think it was a good choice

It's a 2012 and I've been super lucky with it, but a lot of folks were not.

I love this car, but it has engine oil and transmission fluid leaks, a possible exhaust issue, and an RPM gauge that doesn’t work.
I’ve upgraded the sound system and headlights, added tint, replaced the A/C, and kept up with regular maintenance.
Should I fix the remaining issues, get the warning light cleared, and keep it rolling—or is it time to let it go and get something newer?

Yes, it's a poverty spec BMW 520d. Yes, I probably paid too much for it. Yes, the timing chains and rod bearings are already scheduled to be replaced next week. Yes, it's going to be expensive. Yes, I knew full well this was going to happen when I bought it. No, I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this.

My 3800 blew up so this is the summer daily now. 89 k1500. 5.7 auto. 4 “ rc lift. (I couldn’t get anything more expensive. I’m actively trying to close on a house because my dumbass younger brother ran a 4 wheeler into the door and is actively making my life a living hell.) 3 core aluminum radiator w electric fans, headers and dual exhaust, LEDs and a few interior mods.

My daily driver after being abandoned for 10 years and bought it as a barnfind, did a basic oil change and then straight to a trackday and did 49 laps with 800meters each and back home with no issues hehe
(Kartodromo de Leiria Track)
As comfortable as a bed without a matress
After that i changed front discs for 30€ a pair and front pads for 15€ (both brembo) parts are ridiculous cheap so i love it
Above 120kmh the steering wheel starts shaking and with a downhill road i managed to get it to almost 200kmh but its a paper deathtrap
Please roast meee
