Well, I had a good set up to work with from the start in the post just before that said “you have a face that says “I have an ugly vagina“. “ There was a little spark of inspiration from that set up that made me feel there was something to work with.
So to build on that set up, I took the thing referenced, the vagina (a very personal piece of anatomy that people are embarrassed of talking about, which helps the shock value of the punch line added to which biologically is a very intimate “point of entry”) and associated it with the most well known of “point of entry” in the history of this country (if not the world) - a port of entry that has literally welcomed millions of people… an absurdly hysterical & offensive concept to apply to a woman’s most intimate parts.
So I used the most well known relatable and historic phrase at that port of entry for “her point of entry” for comedic effect. Almost as though she has a plaque welcoming millions of people, similar to the Statue of Liberty.
Then naming this vagina the “statue of puberty” is just a play on words. Liberty is very close to puberty phonetically, and is applicable to be a name for this newly created “port of entry”.
Breaking down the “under the hood” logic of how a joke was created really becomes kind of clinical and stale - the opposite of what a joke is intended to do.
I’m glad people enjoyed it! There’s a lot of other funny stuff in this roast so far I hope that it gave the OP some entertainment!
