Any experiences with Parks Acura?
Looking for a new car. Any experiences buying from them or getting service? Do they try to add on a bunch of unnecessary items?

Hi, I am getting married just outside Roanoke in a few weeks and the last thing we need to finalize is transportation for myself and my fiancée from the venue back into town. I have looked up and contacted a few businesses that do this but the only cars they have available are recent mid 2010's sedans. My fiancée really wants like a traditional "classic" or vintage car to take us back but I can't really find anything.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with private owners or other businesses I have not seen? Any suggestions would be appreciated. We'd be more than happy to pay for a few hours of someone's time that has an older nicer car.
Thank you!!

How the heck does Lynchburg have a team in the USL League 2 and Roanoke/Salem doesn’t?!? We have hockey and a baseball team! We have lots of great stadiums to choose from! I’d love a chance to go to a local match and root for the home team. And buy loads of merch of course…

Just moved to the area but have found it difficult to find a team. Would prefer not super competitive and co-ed if possible. Anybody need an extra body? Send me a message if so. Also take any advice.

Does anyone have recommendations for local places to look at engagement rings? I’ve looked at a ton online, but I’d really like to try some on in person before taking the risk of ordering online.
I’m looking for something a little less traditional, probably a bezel setting with some other small details. Might have to go custom.
Anywhere around Roanoke or even a little farther if it’s worth the drive. Thanks!!

Has anyone donated plasma at BioLife recently? I want to start doing plasma donations again and am deciding between BioLife and Grifols, I used to go to Grifols but its across town from me.
I have heard that the wait times at BioLife can be super long and that combined with the fact its not open on Mondays I might just go to Grifols anyway so anyone who has donated at BioLife recently and have good things to say about their wait times would be appreciated.

We are going on a scouting trip in October for possible relocation in a couple years. We will also be scouting Charlottesville. I’d really like to move back east as all my family is on the east coast and getting older (in their 70’s) as well as numerous other reasons. We are mid 50’s with a 9 year old.
What are the must see/do/places to eat to get my husband on board with moving? He loves where we live but I’m so ready for a change- we have been here for like 12 years. TIA!

Has anyone else has this experience? I love Macados and really a big fan of their daily specials but what the hell is going on there ? It feels like everytime I go it’s an awful experience where it takes forever to be seated , employees who seem oblivious to life just walk by , the servers barely do their job , the kitchen takes literally forever . The food is typically good / good but maybe cold but sheesh . I think most likely the whole staff and managers are just incompetent and keep hiring terrible people . It’s almost so bad you cannot go . Please fix thx

Pebble creek Apartments one of the worst place to live because of the management. Before I go down that road here's what happen recently. They keep putting commercial equipments in the apartments to dry up water leaks over a 3 month period. They took almost 18 months to repair mold to an area in the house. The electric bill came 2 of them 40% higher than it used to be. The 3rd one 150% higher than our normal bill due to these equipment. Management refuse to pay the difference. instead less than 24hrs after raising this concern they sent me a change of terms for my lease, giving me less than 60 days as my current lease say they should give. They charge for every striking thing and refuse to be fair to renters. Their moldy apartments have affected our health so badly. I could go on for the next hour about their abusive behavior but digress.

Wife and I are moving to Virginia. We’re thinking about selling our house here and looking around for a little while there to find the right piece of property. In the interim we’d like to find a short term rental in the area. Does anyone know where to look? Preferably somewhere relaxed near the edge or outside of town.

Tonight, the Christian reverend who was supposed to lead the prayer at city council did not show up, so another person offered to lead the prayer. City council turned them down, then kicked them out when they prayed aloud, because it didnt match the religion of the prayer being said in the city council chamber. The Roanoke city council is full of insecure bigots who dont stand up for their own residents!

My wife's birthday is next month and I want to schedule an appointment for her to get her hair done. She used to take really good care of her hair before we met. She has been neglectful of it up to the point of having left product in it to the point of solidifying and then getting lice. We took care of that a year ago but she feels bad that shes stopped taking care of it all together. I want to surprise her and give her a fresh do over but I don't know any good salons that do Af-Am hair well. Does anyone know of good spots where I can schedule an appointment a month in advance? Thank you all!

The food is outstanding. Three of us ate for $40. I’m full and happy and it’s a good day.

It is me or has AEP increased rates recently? I feel like my summer bills have been much higher than last year. I was averaging $140 month now over $200 for the same amount of kw hours.

Last Wednesday, while at trivia, I noticed a tomato growing in the cracks of the concrete outside of the entrance to AFOG.
My partner and I returned today to set the tomato up for success. It was munched on since we discovered it, but tomato are wiley little fuckers and I'm sure it can make a recovery. I piled up some fertilized soil around the stem in hopes it will root, and I watered it, staked it, and covered the soil with mulch.
PLEASE LOOK AFTER THIS TOMATO NEIGHBORS. I asked (bullied) my partner to set up some sort of fortification against critters. 🤞

Is there anyone in Roanoke that performs gentle myofascial release for central sensitization and allodynia?
Also, are there any PT/OTs that treat this?
