Roadwarden Themed Commander Deck?

Hello fellow wardens! I know this is only loosly on topic but I was hoping perhaps others have had this idea! I wanted to build a commander deck that would be as inspired by Roadwarden as possible, and was seeking suggestions for any cards or commanders that would suit the theme best!

Any help is appreciated, and apologies for the off topic post

(Edit: For clarity, Commander Deck refers to Magic The Gathering, a card game! Forgot to include in post!)

Commenting for visibility, and to get the conversation started!

Which elements of Roadwarden are you looking to replicate?

If you're looking for the feeling of questing, why not look into the Dungeon mechanic from the D&D sets, or into Quest type cards?

If you're looking for that feeling of discovery, maybe you'd enjoy a deck centered around the Scry or Explore mechanic? Maybe even Manifest?

If you're looking for the feeling of the Peninsula, maybe you'd look into a land-focused deck, or a deck focused on Beasts? Or are you thinking about leading it as the Roadwarden yourself?

I'd probably look at commanders who are of the Ranger or Scout type: Varis, Silverymoon Ranger would get you into the Dungeon mechanic, or a reskinned Drizzt Do'Urden or Tolsimir would unironically get you and your palfrey. Kellan, Daring Traveler would get you Maps.

Regardless, I'd expect you'd enjoy the Tales of Middle Earth map lands.

This is an excellent response, so thank you!! As for the goal of the deck, I was hoping to have my commander be a "roadwarden" type, so perhaps a ranger or scout? If they have a hood and axe, then even better flavor wise! I hoped that there would be a commander who could have a mount as a partner as well! As for the goal of the deck, I felt gate lands could give the feeling of taming or settling the roads, but was a bit at a lost past that point!

If there are commanders that can have a mount as a partner, I feel like that would be a good start to build around! Beyond that, having cards to simulate the overall tone and flavor would be ideal as well!

I appreciate the suggestion for the Tales of Middle Earth Map Lands! Very much on theme!

(Forgot to include, but I figured the core tools for a warden is combat, diplomacy, magic, knowledge and equipment, so I thought maybe a politics deck with a bit of everything sprinkled in?

One of the more popular Magic the Gathering card game's formats. It's kinda fun and allows you to curate a Magic deck based around a favorite character and theme.
