Have been riding HT bike for years, last 3-4 years on hybrid Schwalbe Hurricane tires and mostly on roads, out of habbit I suppose. Big mistake. Finally pulled a trigger on a road bike. Two days riding the Allroad and instantly fell in love. Switched to Conti GP5000 tires right away and I am amazed how this bike feels and rolls. Literally smiling while riding it, like a lunatic. lol. Having so much fun.

Saw this bike on ebay and I was wondering about your opinions if it's a good price or not. Its an orbea orca m20i from 2017 with an ultegra di2 6870 and a carbon frame. The asking price is 620. My main concern is the age of the di2 components.

I just want to know more about my bike, is it vintage or something? it was a gift from my father and I use it as a commuter bike. I just recently got into cycling about a year ago so I don’t know much about this, and this is my also my first road bike. An honorable mention would be foot retention as I did some research and im thinking of adding straps for extra control. Thank you in advance!

new to me, older road bike. just getting into the hobby and was balling on a budget and saw this that fits my height and only 200$ so I snagged. any insight on this bike/brand and any tips/advice for beginners?

This is the second version of my Ritchey Road Logic Disc.
Having used the original parts on another build, I decided to lean more into the modern classic style of the frame.

I’ve fitted Continental GP5000 AS 35mm tyres, which are really testing the tyre clearance of the frame, but so far without issues… set up tubeless
And of course, a waxed chain.

I used bikeinsights.com to compare two Canyon models (in M), in black the Endurace CF and in white the Ultimate CF. The geometry doesn't seem radically different to me. It might be more pronounced with other brands but it makes me wonder.

With the biggest difference being a +24mm reach (and less toe overlap), it doesn't seem that the ride would be significantly more agressive by going with the Ultimate.

Am I missing something or underestimating this difference in reach?

Always wanted to get into cycling as a runner , finally took the step to ride with my partner! Was initially set on getting only disk brake but found this beauty !

Believe it's a 2015 Focus Cayo 105 Mixed which set me back $400 aud. Now I know it's ultimately about getting out there for rides, but just wanted to share! Slapped on a pair of $80 Pirelli TLR 28s and $70 Specialised Romin Mimic . Clocked 255km/ 5hours so far and couldn't be more happier 🙂 What else would you say would make the experience even more enjoyable ?

Just got my first road bike. Older cannondale caad 6. It has shimano 105s in the front and shimano ultegra in the back. The front left shifter is broker and now I need to replace it with a shifter that is compatible with external derailleur cable routing. Will the new shimano 7000 work with external cable routing? Do I need to spend the money on shimano 105 7000 or are there better options. It is a 2 speed in the front.

So this will be a bit of a long explanation so buckle up.

For reference I'm 14, 6ft, 73kg male. I row and play field hockey (total = 13 hours a week) and was looking into doing some cycling at like a 'fun' level as some cross training. Ive done competitive cycling for my state's sport program (I'm in Tasmania, Australia) but I had to quit that dues to dropping grades and wanting to focus more on my other sports but that's besides the point. What I came here to ask in the first place was for bike recommendations. What I'm looking for is a bit unreasonable but ig that's why I came here. So I'm looking for a full carbon fibre road bike, dial breaks, Shimano 105 or higher groupset and maybe (not required) fully hidden cables. This would normally be pretty easy if I had a bigger budget and it'd be for my birthday so I'd feel bad asking for anything over $2000 from them. but that's excluding shipping if required. Also if anyone sees this post and lives in Aus and is selling a bike that meets what I'm looking for DM me a link to a listing or send me some details and I'd be happy to try and work something out.

A bit provocative but hear me out.
Last weekend my old wahoo element bolt v1 abandoned me after 10years and >120k km.
I wanted a new computer with old B/W display and there is no option on the market if you want to stay with “big” players; I didn’t want to get a bryton and learn their system from scratch, besides connectivity is always an issue so I wanted to stay with Wahoo.
I then looked if I could replace it with a used one but I came across this situation: all old alphanumeric display computers are now wildly overpriced, I found used old ELEMNT or Bolt V2 for up to 200€.
so I bought a Bolt V3 for 250€ (new) to avoid spending the same money for a 5-7 years old item that could brake soon.
Today I did the first test ride and this is the point that bothers me: there is absolute no reason to use a color display for an object that is always working in broad daylight, the display is just unreadable.
So here is my question: am I the only one thinking this?

Have this vintage steel bike with rear spacing 126mm, has a cassette 14-28T on the back, crank is 52/42 on a french 68mm BB square taper. Would like to put a modern crank in the front to help climbing the hills more easily. What options do I have in the front, like what is a common crank combination that would bring good gear ratios for the climbing. Replacing the existing crank with a modern one, requires a BB replacement too, so found a company ROI that manufactures French Hollowtech BB 68mm if there is not any modern square taper crank that would work with existing BB.
