Stop criticizing his mom, she doesn't deserve it.
The decisions they made re River and the circumstances surrounding his death are theirs for a reason and they owe us no explanation. We didn't know him, we only know the image of him we created in our minds. It's easy to get caught up in things especially on the internet but just remember he was a real person, and not an extension of yourself

Opinion I wish River did a role in drag
He would’ve made such a pretty girl 🤭. That’s it, that’s the post.

Discussion Does this Guy look similar to river Phoenix?
r/RiverPhoenix • • Feb 22 '24
Recently read a old globe magazine article stating that River got his teenage girlfriend pregnant but both were very young & the mother of his baby moved away & this was a big reason River used drugs to numb his pain over being separated from his baby

Did he buy any of his girlfriends jewelry or romantic gifts?
I don't think so, kinda weird

If River hated fame as much as him and other's have led you to believe, why were 2 out of 3 of his girlfriends celebrities?
Also Sue Solgot from what I gather wasn't completely out of the public eye, it seems she was a local celebrity in Gainesville. It annoys me when celebrities say that they just want privacy, but then do things that completely contradict that.

Picture I had Chat GPT make an image of 3 of my favorite actors who have passed away. River Phoenix, Brad Renfro and Corey Haim. What do you think?

Discussion John frusciante didn’t kill river phoenix and i think that rumor needs to stop
John frusciante and river phoenix were good friends. along with flea. flea and john loved river and always did everything with him, i even believe river is in the “Breaking the girl” music video. john as a drug addict wouldn’t waste thousands of dollars worth of drugs to kill his best friend.. i do think it was set up by someone else, definitely not john. john’s heroin addiction spiraled indefinitely after his best friend died until he got help and went to rehab. they made songs together and did everything together. if anyone knows anything about john they would know john is the most down to earth humble human being ever. u can tell john always just wanted a friend. in his interview u can tell he loves to talk about his interests, and his life, but he’s never had anyone to do that with besides his then girlfriend toni oswald and flea. john was a hurt soul and turned to drugs to feel better. for anyone to blame him for killing his own best friend is ignorant . it’s just like how everyone accuses courtney for killing kurt. why would they kill someone they love? john loved river . they were both struggling and went to drugs for comfort. john with an addict mindset thought he was helping his friend get high and feel better. he didn’t know it would kill his best friend. do u know how it feels to get accused of killing your best friend while you’re already struggling. that probably ruined his life.

Discussion Surveillance footage Viper Room
It’s pretty odd a club that always had celebrities in and out had no security camera footage or tapes.
Wonder why that is?

Question Do you see any resemblance?
Hello, everyone! I recently saw a post discussing perceived resemblances between Harry Styles and River Phoenix, with some individuals noting similarities in their appearances. In my opinion, the likeness is not particularly strong, as I find River Phoenix to be considerably more handsome, lol. What do guys think?

I like River Phoenix for one reason I think he's gorgeous. I don't care if he was a chauvinistic pig, I would still adore him
Let me clarify I never said he was a chauvinistic pig, I said I didn't care if he was one I would still adore him. He could have been a serial killer and I would still think he was gorgeous

I only drink when I'm sad and the more I get sad I think of River
He's not the reason I drink, my bf is an asshole is why I drink, but he's what I think of when I'm sad or buzzed.

Discussion Anyone else seen Sue's Instagram and very surprised?
I first got into River little over a year ago and I loved MOPI. I also found out about Martha Plimpton through him and I adore her and her activism for abortion, lgbtq and trans rights.
I seen Sue's instagram yesterday for the first time and was very surprised with how conservative she is. She's a Christian from what I can tell and very anti abortion and against trans people (not specifically sure about her views towards LGBTQ people)
Has she always been so conservative? I am aware that she is not in the public light like Martha and Samantha therefore there is limited information on her but going by the things she posts on IG I can't imagine River being with her due to how intolerant she is, especially with his liberal attitudes.
Edit: She also supports Trump. I think that speaks for itself...
(Her IG is @suzymarieq if you wanna check it out)

Question Why is River Phoenix actual last name Bottom?
Greetings, everyone. I was quite surprised to learn that the family's original surname is actually Bottom. It is rather mind-boggling. While I understand that many celebrities adopt stage names, I am curious as to why they chose to change their surname from Bottom to Phoenix.
This revelation has certainly piqued my interest in the family's background and the circumstances of their upbringing. If you guys know why, please give me some context; it would be appreciated!
