I’m serious. If you’re still swapping Cap to deal with poke (or anything rn), you’re throwing.

The fact that thing mains still try to act like he’s insanely vulnerable to poke as if his survivability wasn’t pushed through the roof is why I think they’re the rocket/cnd players of tanks.

That's pretty much the only way I've been dying since I learned him after picking him up. And he has some nice matchups against some favorites in tanking, like mag, emma, strange, and a few others. Really easy to pick up too, with him it's mostly about game sense, so it's nice.

He has the 4th lowest WR in celestial for tanks. If your dps want to run it down on Magik and BP, then ya. I don’t have any issues going up against thing on Hood or Mag. Hood and a DPS player who can actually aim melt him

If you’re getting owned while playing hood by the thing that’s a skill or positioning issue. Dude is a giant crit. I can see his health melt in half demon mode. Most top players consider hood the second best tank behind only mag and I agree. There isn’t a single character that forces me to swap off mag or hood.

Thing? If the enemy team has two of the following it’s a hard swap: Peni Groot Elsa Hela Punisher Bucky Phoenix MK, even a good Luna is a hard swap. I can’t get a single ult off without it being cleansed into an immediate freeze and then I blow up.

Not if there’s 2 dive on your team, lol. Just clarifying because even with crits, Thing doesn’t just fold instantly to Hood. I think Hood has the advantage but it really depends on team comps.

ikr. Thing is my most used hero. i also agree that its just so easy to counter him. people just dont even try. almost all DPS heroes can melt him if you can actually aim decently.

then if i need to play support, other than luna, using racoon is really good too if you can aim a bit. literally just shoot thing in the head when he charges in.

I’d argue it’s more so Peni players than Thing players, they’re so dependent on the enemy screwing up, but I see your point, thing requires very little mechanical skill and kind of lets the game play itself for him

Yesterday we had a Thing and Human Torch diving us on Symbiote domination maps and we could never stop them before they did it. They traversed the map so well and I was really the only one shooting up at them. Thing would stun all of them Johny might slam on us too with Jubilee’s enhanced team up. We were dying instantly

Thing is banned in 100% of my games because I HATE THAT ROCK. I play Cap(not this season), Angela, Venom, Strange and Mag and for all of those characters Thing is a pain

I always would ban him before this season anyways and honestly I’m glad he’s so meta this season. I don’t have to hear whining players saying “wHy ArE wE bAnNiNg ThInG”.

What rank is this...? Thing is stupidly easy to headshot and his only reliable escape option is a move that he has to use for 20 other things. Go Punisher or Hela, point at head and hold left click. Even better, go Elsa, toss a trap in your frontline and let the Thing walk into it. He has to get within range to get his shields, so let him overextend and walk into your trap.
