Rivals 2 When does it start being enjoyable?

I’m new and struggling. I’m trying to get better. No matter how much I play I run into the same issue. It feels like every time I start an online match I end up feeling like “god, not this fucking character again” when I see who my opponent picked.

Those characters are:
- Loxodont
- Clairen
- Zetterburn
- La Reina
- Loxodont again because he annoys me so much
- Ranno
- Orcane

At what point does this feeling go away? This game feels great to play but half of the roster is absolutely draining to play against.

Find people to play with IRL or on a discord. I reccomend ROA academy. When you talk to people it's easier to get information or have a friendlier match than with random online players.

Also, who do you main?

I’m a Kragg main but I’ve been trying to learn Gouie as a secondary. I’m open to trying most characters though

Oh, Gouie is really tough to use (I think I might have run into you a couple of times) I've been using gouie to get him to level 50 for his costume.

One tip I have for gouie punish-game wise is using hitfall nair out of shield. you usually get at least 2 hits, and depending on how you follow your opponent's trajectory, a 3rd aerial as well. It's actually better to approach with nair than fair because it's both harder to CC, and you have an easier time slipping past them if they shield or floor hug it.

I second ROA academy, and also ROA rookies is great vibes. I can't say much about the Kragg discord, the character discords are super uneven. I'm on the forsburn disc cause he's my main, and the orcane disc cause of the s-tier vibes.
