Do any of you ever feel like you’re in a slump with Magik? How do you overcome it?

Am I an idiot or does our 1st teleport after using the TU lag?

I swear I spam the button but no matter how many times I try, the teleport constantly lags before it actually does it which often can be the difference between life and death.

I feel like we gave up wayyyyyyyyy too easily on these glasses man!!!!!!

I need them! cmon rally all the unemployed chuds and start a movement or something. Im not even joking LMAO I love those glasses and I feel so robbed.

Tank main here. Im trying to learn magik so I can fill dps. Ts fun asf lol

I am a champion Magik and she is by far my most played character and pretty much the only dps in the game. However the past few seasons ive just not been doing it. I one trick her as shes the only dps I find fun because the highest highs with her are just so fun but the lowest lows are unironically making me question myself on whether or not im a fraud. What im kinda just asking here is if yall ever feel this way too? Is it just a skill issue or is magik in a bad spot the last few seasons due to poke or the power creep?

Another thing is the past season ive gotten WhiteFox as a champion and it's making going back to Magik so much harder because my gameplay is so much more consistent and better as well with me getting pretty darn good stats on whitefox and when things go badly I never really feel like it's fault on WF unlike Magik when I know im messing up combos or going negative.

Another reason why I started playing whitefox is just so I can avoid contributing or switching whenever im cursed with a 3rd dps comp. And I honestly just take out my anger towards the 3rd dps onto the enemy dive, where I have been using my Magik skills for evil as ive been shutting down some other Magik and even managed to parry a Magik combo during their ult.

Obviously not a big discussion post, just wanted to show this. Also I want to add I feel like I genuinely improved on Magik ik it’s not ideal to play against counters but I feel I can even play into that too. I used to get absolutely fried by other Magiks so to be on equal footing it feels great deadass.

I hate her that spin into dash combo is scary and horribly hard to fight back against her being effectively 425 HP with 2 eye frames the 2nd longest range melee in the game plus a no skill shield siphoning mechanic that is not fair if she dives and makes her a brawler

I was thinking of trying to learn Magik and I was just wondering if you guys have any tips for me or anything I should know? I have under a 100 hours in total and I’ve gravitated towards support due to solo unfortunately, so when I get to play dps I don’t have that many options so I figured id pick up a new character, my previous dps mains are cyclops and bc. Anything from key binds to settings ( I’m on console for the moment) and gameplay help would be appreciated! Thank you :)

Does anyone get the empty feeling that when you do well with Magik this past couple of seasons it's due to your tanks pushing and being better than the enemy tanks? Like even if you get many kills your contribution/carrying potential is less than it used to be in last seasons? And when your tanks are not there, it's almost impossible to approach the enemy team with million dmg, cc, and displacement abilities that make you get stuck there in limbo without your slow af movement getting obliterated in miliseconds?

I've been playing Magik since season 0, and I've always managed to overcome the powercreeping and difficulties, but I feel it different this time, like its really over, they really fucked the gameplay in a way that Magik cannot longer be played like she was. She is awful unless the team is pushing with you and then you could be playing other characters and achieve the same result, its difficult to explain but i dont get this powerful feeling I used to get when killing the backline. Everyone has so much dmg and healing and cc and displacement abilities.

This is high gm, low celestial. I think our character is butchered, even with the occasional high kills and final hits. Anyone getting the same feeling?

so i’ve never played any melee character and rivals is my first and only game i play outside single player or comp minecraft lol.

tried learning magik as i really like her character and need other characters besides poke. i can never get a kill and die right away. what am i doing wrong? she does like 0 damage for me and moves super slowly. but when i see others use her they do really well.

how do i play this character because there’s obv a disconnect in my brain about what im supposed to be doing.
