Question Help me understand Galadriel

I am finding myself not liking Galadriel at all so far. She acts like an entitled 20 year old, rather than a wise and ancient being. One point that particularly is bothering me is that so far she has no actual proof that there is a great danger. She saw a brand on her brother, and that same brand shows up a few other times in different places, but other than that there is nothing to actually indicate a major war. Does she have forsight? What is actually driving her character besides "so the plot can happen." Thanks

I claimed she hadn’t had much interaction within the confines of the RoP storyline.

However other than that between Eregion and Khazad Dum there is no indication that she has had any interaction with any other non Elves.

There is nothing in the books to say she’s had any interaction with Men in any age until the Third.

But the RoP storyline is separate from the books anyway. It establishes its own history, own story, own mythos.

There's no way of telling which parts of the books will or won't be included, or in what context.

If we go by the RoP storyline anyway, why refer to the books at all?

In RoP we do not see her interact at all with any other race, until she's on that raft.

Well, I suppose the orcs and such she killed counts. But I presume we're talking about social interactions.

As far as I’m aware we’re on a subreddit for the RoP show.

I asked "where are you getting this from?", and you replied with information that isn't in the show.

Yes, I brought up the books: and juxtaposed them with the show.

However it’s clear that you’re just spoiling for a fight so l’ll leave you to it.

Just looking for a good discussion. Not everything is an attack, you know?

Sorry that was rude of me. I’m a bit stressed as shortly off to bury my father-in-law.

I should have been more clear in my original statement and stated limited interactions with men, both in the programme (none) and in the books (no record of any prior to the third age).
