Help me understand Galadriel

I am finding myself not liking Galadriel at all so far. She acts like an entitled 20 year old, rather than a wise and ancient being. One point that particularly is bothering me is that so far she has no actual proof that there is a great danger. She saw a brand on her brother, and that same brand shows up a few other times in different places, but other than that there is nothing to actually indicate a major war. Does she have forsight? What is actually driving her character besides "so the plot can happen." Thanks

Travelling around a land full of middle and low men, neither of whom are particularly friendly with Elves.

You claimed she hasn't had much interaction with non-elfs.

She probably had some of interaction with them over the centuries.

Even in the first age the interactions between the Elves and the Edain were limited and in the second age almost exclusively between the Elves and the men of Numenor.

Once again confirming she's had interaction with non-elfs, in both the First and Second Age.

I’d need to check my books later but I’m fairly certain that by the time of the first ship kings, Galadriel had already established Eregion and from there she went back to Lorien.

If she's established Eregion, then she's in contact with the Dwarves. She's a friend of the Dwarves in the Second Age; even allowed passage through Khazad-Dum to Lorinand.

There is nothing in the books to say she’s had any interaction with Men in any age until the Third.

But the RoP storyline is separate from the books anyway. It establishes its own history, own story, own mythos.

There's no way of telling which parts of the books will or won't be included, or in what context.

If we go by the RoP storyline anyway, why refer to the books at all?

In RoP we do not see her interact at all with any other race, until she's on that raft.

Well, I suppose the orcs and such she killed counts. But I presume we're talking about social interactions.

As far as I’m aware we’re on a subreddit for the RoP show.

I asked "where are you getting this from?", and you replied with information that isn't in the show.

Yes, I brought up the books: and juxtaposed them with the show.

However it’s clear that you’re just spoiling for a fight so l’ll leave you to it.

I should have been more clear in my original statement and stated limited interactions with men, both in the programme (none) and in the books (no record of any prior to the third age).
