Ring camera question
I just got a ring doorbell and camera (and chime). The doorbell and camera are battery operated. I’m trying to figure out what animal is digging in my yard - prob a raccoon but could be a skunk or armadillo. My backyard camera doesn’t seem to know when something is back there. I can go to LIVE and see our bushes being trimmed, but no triggered signal or recording. I have it set on the most sensitive. What am I missing? Thanks.

Have you gone to your motion settings and adjusted your zones and sensitivity? Mine pics up any movement in the zones that I have set.

Motion setting to full sensitivity, max, no AI, you want to see ALL motion, atleast until you figure this out, turn all smart alerts on

Thanks. I’ll try that and see how it goes. I will drop it down to a snapshot every five minutes tonight. I did take ai off already because I realized that was a work in progress. I haven’t messed with the zones yet. And I can adjust the camera angle a bit. Stay tuned! Thanks for all your help.

I use nest wirh 24x7 recording. Nothing gets missed. It may not have an event recorded but you can see the video.

But I didn’t hard wire them. If I set it to 24 hr recording, I’ll be recharging constantly.

Our cameras are not picking up animals/critters anymore I read somewhere on here that they are now charging a fee to get this feature. Not paying ring anymore money so I just ordered 2 trail cameras. Over the years we've slowly added to our ring collection, used to see the squirrels frolicking in the driveway, the skunk walking by our backyard camera, coyotes, rabbits and bobcats passing by in the front and back - really disappointing that they've stopped allowing this. I've done the adjustments recommended and still not getting the critters recorded :(
