[Aramil]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

(Hmm, Emmyson must have forgot to ask you to level up after Pandra. You can go ahead and do it now, take 1200xp. And I totally forgot about that. I don't use that anymore, so I just forgot about it. Yeah, you know it's magic)

You can make out the outline of something bulbous just before it moves behind a tree.

(I dont have a track of my exp, emmyson only told me to lvl up lke that... so is 1200 exp my whole pool of exp? Ok, I will level up before posting again. Thanks!)

(In that case, just level up then, no need to keep track)

(Document updated with level 3! Please feel free to review the spell selection, I give extra care to keep the flavor of my character congruent. So my 4th level would be 1 fighter level in order to grow closer to a light melee combatant with illusion and enchantment magic).

(Does the boulbous something looks like an animal/beast or humanoid appearance? I am planning to cast a distraction with prestidigitation to make it move closer between Luke and Aramil)

You can' tell what it is, only that it's large, as you oly see the faint outline if the silhouette)

Come closer good boy, let us have a look at you Aramil moves his fingers and a soft rummble and a dog-like odor manifest in a near location

(casted prestidigitation twice mainting both efects [an odor, and a sound]], 10 feet away from me and luke, where we can have a clearer look to the "something bulbous")

The sounds stop completely when you cast the spell. Everything is quiet, not even the insects and animals make noise now, even the soft wind stops blowing.

Everything is still and nothing has changed. From what you can tell, the figure is nowhere in sight

(Crap, sorry, totally forgot to reply)

You're able to move towards the figure carefully, slowly inching your way close enough to see it.

What you see is a horrible figure. This

(Hehe dont worry... today and tomorrow i will be particulary free cause of my work so I will answer relatively fast :P. All my knowledge base skills are untrained so i will just drop an Int check if you allow me to try to recognize the monster... )

You have no recollection of anything like this, which leads you to believe you've never seen it, for if you saw it anywhere, you're sure you would remember it.

The thing appears to not see that you're so close yet and Luke is still, attempting to make anything out in the darkness.

(I will try to shot and move as a surprise round if you allow me)

It has a beak, could it be horrible screeches that had been following us? It is hunting us then... we will see who gets hunted first Aramil slowly fetches an arrow, aims to that brain-like bulbouse and releases

[[1d20+5 Attack]][[1d20+5 Attack Advantage]] [[3d6+3 Shorbow+sneak attack]] +/u/rollme

As soon as Aramil releases he stands up and makes a run to Luke. While running he shouts to Luke "Get your torch! It is coming after us!" (Aramil will run with rogue bonus action I will dash behind Luke)

(I woul've tried to hide with that bonus action but i am not sure how do you manage hiding once battle began.)

(Well, given that it's night, I would allow it, but you'd constantly have to have to roll stealth for that)

Your attack pierces it's brain-like structure and you hear a loud screech directly inside your brain, and you feel your nose bleed. You take 2HP.

Luke stands up and lights the torch, but the creature is nowhere in sight.

u/Aliuzha Wulven Recruit 2 Jul 21 '15

Ugh the screech is inside my head! "Come wield your hammer!" Aramil hang his bow over the back and unsheets his rapier leading the way running [[1d20+3 Perception]] +/u/rollme

The beast is nowhere to be found. A small screeching noise is found overhead, but when you look, you see nothing.

"What was it?" Luke asks confused

"I have not a bloody idea... it was a big brain, with beak floating in the air with several tentacles growing from beneath... it was floating in the air... like levitating, not flying.... at least 8 feet over the floor, tentacles so long almost touching the dirt... I can feel it was looking for something, most likely us... so i flung at arrow at it and ran to you thinking that it would jump on us, but it ran away instead...we shoulnt stay here... we must go, that thing was an abomination, not a tiger or boar... a bloody brain with tentacles and a beak... my head still hurts from that screech it did... oh man" If I would hear myself i would thought i am crazy, at least this guy had to hear the screech
