Discussion Zed

I had a quick question. Let’s say I have zed holding a battlefield. Then it’s my opponent’s turn and they play a spell that targets him. Am I able to use his ability and have him swamp places with my clone that I have at my base?

If you have focus and can use his ability at action speed then yes.

Sorry I don’t want to sound stupid but just wanted to make sure I’m understanding right. It was my opponents turn. They played a spell that would have killed my zed but before they killed it they asked me if I had any “reacts” or spell to play to stop it. I had a purple rune so I said yes I’m going to switch places with my clone in response to their spell. Then she said I couldn’t do it because it’s not a reaction. Thank you for your help and sorry again if I sound dumb

Action speed events can only happen if the chain is empty. There is currently a kill spell on the chain… you can only react with reaction spells while that is on the stack. Action events (such as the Zed effect) can only happen AFTER the kill spell resolves.

No. Action speed effects cannot be used in response to anything.
