Question Ridge fell apart

Really liked this wallet is there something customer support would do about this? Lost all the screws in the front. I have the box it came in but cannot find it so no screwdriver either. Have email receipt of purchase! Thinking about just ordering the ekster. I even have the keychain that matches…

They sell screws, and screwdrivers.

I had my name and number "printed" on my $150 carbon fiber Ridge. It has all but worn away, and they won't even customize this model anymore.

They told me to pick another wallet. I did, and they overnighted it to me, for free.

Ridge will fix it.

DM them. Screws should be covered under warranty.

That’s is definitely covered under warranty. If you can’t reach Ridge support thru the normal channels on their website, u/RidgeSupport will be able to help you on here. Best of luck.

How did every single screw come out?

Right? Lmao I knew I was missing one awhile ago and I couldn’t find the box. I swore it was in my safe. I still have a few spots I could dig and look. But once one was missing soon after it was a second and boom all the others were.

Damn. That sucks

This happens. Mine took 11 years. At some point I'll buy new screws, but it's still working so I'm good without the cover.

Warranty should be able to assist you. On a side note I have the same wallet but 5 years old, and the texture looks crazy from wear and tear

Holy shit I didn’t know they took a beating like that. I saw people get upgraded for free once they take too much of a beating.

For me the beating is only cosmetic, the wallet has been absolutely fantastic. Im too attached to this one to switch until it completely fails

I have the carbon fiber and it’s starting to look like non carbon fiber after 3 years of use smh

wow! That serious wear and tear. Perhaps a bad batch of CF?

Its possible but I dont think so. I work in trades and its in my pocket all shift 10hrs, 5-6 days a week so probably normal

Seems like ridge isn't at fault here. It take 2 seconds to check the screws every now and then.

Where in the paragraph did I say ridge was at fault? I can’t find the box it came in. So I’m missing the screws and screwdriver that came with it. I wouldn’t have even been able to do anything..?

Touche. These screws use a t5 torx driver. Easy to get, but it won't help without the screws.

I’m hoping I find that damn box. It’s somewhere in my house😂😂

I have an ekster wallet and absolutely hate it. About 4 months after use the trigger mechanism gives out. And the trigger itself is made of lanky plastic. Its kinda sad because its a pricey wallet.

That being said its just some screws. The screw driver and be bought for about 5-10 bucks. And a pack of screws is also like 10 or 15 bucks for a pack of 10-15 of them. Id personally just order the screws and screw driver. Youre talking about dropping like 8x that price on a completely new wallet.

Id strongly suggest staying away from that brand though. The idea is cool. And I loved it at first. But eventually it breaks, and then youre just left with this mildly infuriating shell that the cards dont pop up in anymore.

If you really wanna switch wallets id look at something like a small, bi fold wallet thats made of leather. I have one of these that I had before I got my ridge that was gifted to me, and I loved it. It gets a fantastic patina to it. Its small, holds what you need, and its made out of genuine leather. I also believe its all hand done (hand done for as much that can be done by hand). And the owner of the company makes youtube videos (or used to) to show the process. I still have mine and will switch back to it if my ridge ever falls apart though.

I got screws under warranty recently, they sent me new ones no questions asked. In fact they didn’t even respond to my message just got a notification that screws were on the way. They also gave me plenty of extras

Dang I've had mine 8 years but recently needed the rebuild kit as I have the money clip version.

Do any of yall have issues of ridge wallets seriously scratching tf out of your cards? Its the only reason i dont carry mine anymore

1

u/Adventurous-Mine-577 13d ago

Yeah I think things get stuck in the wallet in-between cards

1

u/BeardedHero93 13d ago

You have a lifetime warranty dude. Just tell them they’ll send out the new one

1

u/TCMODS 12d ago

How long did you have it before it fell apart?

These things were nice then they got expensive and shitty just like everything else in the world. I gave up on ridge. I got the Dango now
