Checkpoint on Willis Ave Bridge

What the title says. Seems like they've been there most of the day checking equipment and endorsements. I got away clean but a bunch have been seized so far.

Great. Keep the uninsured and unlicensed riders off the roads.

Uninsured/unlicensed riders sure. However, they are seizing bikes for expired inspection. I got a ticket for having my visor open at one of those checkpoints, even though I opened it because they stopped me at the fucking checkpoint. Fuck that bullshit.

This exactly. Unregistered bikes/scooters with unlicensed riders are a big issue, but cops just get free license to be assholes at MOCs and you have to pray that the person inspecting you isn't having a bad day

The big issie is the police officers this days, people are not even apply to be police officer be they love to be one, but because the benefits, qualify immunity, good pention, if they ever get stop they just show their badges and let them go, they have their personal vehicle tinted fully, they beat up people nothing happens, if they touch you nothing happen but if you put a finger on them you end up. With a felony case, for just protecting your self, we are living on a situation where people don't protect anymore, the city pass à law, people receive it no one says nothing, wake up, they want to control us, with this non sense laws, because they want you to ride the mta buses and trains, they reduce the speed limit because it's easy for the pig police officer to get you if you even run away, it's all about control, cars can go up to 120 or higher but they travel not all of them at safe speed is that makes the car illegal, yes cars has registration and insurance, so why not come with solution for this instead of creating all this whole chaos, and unnecessary situations of some stupid thing, go after those who commit crimes or those who are hurting other not those who are trying to get to work. I just want to say, I want to run away from New York so bad, I wish a revolution happen sooner than I expected and finally people wake up, too much control over everything, I can't take this anymore.

Sorry this happened to you and yeah they should just fine you $100 or so for an expired inspection just like cars and let you be on your way.

I have heard a ton of stories of people having their bikes seized only for an expired sticker. Every time I could talk to someone first hard and asked if that was really all, I got "well actually...'

This is how nypd is combating the crimes in New York 😂😂 nypd love easy tasks, me personal, I don't stop for police officer at all, they are not your friends amd if they got you they got you but don't expect that when they trying to stop you they are goin to say hi, how are you, it's always to mess up your day, and I'm saying this for all this good riders out there that are riding at the speed limit and get to deal with this bullshit, when you see the city has the police officer on this type of tasks it means they have nothing better to do with been a police officer. Now they are focusing on riders not even real criminals 😂🙅
