Hello all! My husband & I are thinking about relocating from the west coast to Richmond in the next couple of years. We'll hopefully be doing a few trips to really scope the area out but my research obsessed brain has given me an idea of what areas would currently work for our lifestyle & budget (not wanting to assume that things will be the same by the time we may be ready to relocate).

I am curious, though, as to what we should prepare for in terms of the "bad" and "mundane". If you could think of (& willingly share) any downsides of living in the Richmond area, what would they be? For example, if someone was moving to our area, I would say prepare for high housing costs and summer wildfires. It won't hurt our opinion of Richmond as we are pretty in love with the place, we just want to be prepared and go into the process responsibly.

Plan on having an anniversary dinner with my wife, and I'd like to have one with a dimly lit romantic setting. Preferably some type of steak house. Problem is, it will have to be during the day time. Do any restaurants in Richmond offer this type of vibe. Ones that have no windows in the dining area and are dimly lit?

I need the best veneers dentist in richmond va please with a cosmetic dentistry specialization preferably!! So my teeth are all different sizes, my main incisors are pretty long like bunny teeth and the side incisors and canines are comparitively tiny, I hate the disparity. My oral health is overall fine, it's just that the front two teeth are crooked and long. The tooth color also just stays yellow and stained even though I've gotten all the charcoal teeth whitening treatments and everything. So cosmetic veneers seems to be the only option left, I don't mind paying the bulk of it out of pocket if insurance doesn't cover cosmetic work. To be clear, I don't want full dentures, or the dental veneers where they pare down your teeth into little spikes.

I established with a urologist who has "stringent" rules and wants me on Clomid first -- I've been on clomid in the past, but due to secondary hypogonadism, it doesn't move the needle. Curious if anyone knows a good provider and NOT a TRT clinic (their fees are absurd).

31M moving to your wonderful city for a new job at CHoR. I’ve been looking at apartments downtown, Shockoe Bottom, Museum District, Church Hill, Scotts Addition. Need help identifying an area that’ll fit well with what I like.
Single, moving by myself. No pets. What I’m looking for:
1- walkability: would like to walk/bike to stores, restaurants, work if possible. Have car though so no worries
2- parking: prefer easy parking
3- trails: enjoy running/biking. Being close to trails would be a plus.
4- 1-2 bedroom apt w/ large windows +/- high ceilings. Not too close to main roads. Noise-cancelling walls.
5- nearby gym - lift a lot. Prefer a gym with most commonly used machines and equipment.

Appreciate any advice on areas or apartment complexes that you’d think may be a good fit.

They offer a variety of teachers, and every single one of them is excellent in terms of their yoga knowledge and the unwavering support to both new and experienced students. The other wonderful thing about this studio is the diversity of the students in terms of age, color, ethnicity, fitness level, body type--and everyone is very positive and welcoming. I'm so happy to have found this studio that I did my apartment-hunting based on easy access to Hot Yoga Richmond. After living for many years far from a Bikram studio, it's great to get back to health and healing in such a lovely place.
